Ok, tajines and couscous are delicious, but, after several days of having these, me and my boyfriend needed something else, something... Italian and cheesy . So, we saught out Cafe Arabe, a restaurant (and inn) hidden within the medina. WOW. This place is COOL. Gorgeous. Enchanting. With both covered patio-type seating, a swanky little bar, indoor seating and delicious drinks upon the terrace with a view of Marrakesh you'll love. I did great pictures of this place. Owned by Italians, ( the owner is from Milano and the manager from Reggio Emilia, the city of the Parmesancheese, tortellini) you'll find a varied selection of traditional Moroccan and Italin offerings on the menu. As well as a nice wine list. A blend of funky, artsy decor and good ambient music.

We began with an unusual appetizer of baked ham, mushrooms and cheese. Emphasis on the cheese. My boyfriend had rigatoni quattro formaggi and I had gnocchi al pesto, each around 100 dirhams. Dinner comes with a basket of assorted breads flavored with various herbs and spices. Price per person includes having wine. I eat a great Tiramisů and my boyfriend a dessert that I never had haerd, called Pavlova: super.

The manager, Mr Paolo, told us, that the Cafe has 2 double rooms and a minisuite. We asked him the see the rooms. No problems, in this way we could shoot some photos. I think it's a good idea to sleep in a riad for enjoy the real Morocco, that's not possible in a 5 stars hotel :-( ....next time

The Sunday Moroccan-international brunch tasts optimal. It's a great buffet, for 200 DHS. It's not expansive, but unfortunatly it comes suspended in July and August because it is too warm and the buffet it comes made in the patio.

If you want, they can do special menus for groups or private parties. You send and email, and Mr Paolo will let you know.

They have a summer menů: 2 kinds of pasta fredda, salads, carpaccio and others, I don't remenber everything, sorry.

I'm Italian, and I had a help in the first part of my opinion...but not in the second part :-(

This was very interesting, and don't worry about not being word perfect in English, many people have help with spellings and that sort of thing, my husband is dyslexic which makes it hard from him, and it takes a lot more time too.

Hi! Welcome to ciao! I don't think your english needs a lot of improvement really, it's easily good enough as it stands! If you need any help with something just let me know in my guestbook, I'll be happy to help! Michael.
