Pretty and Pink
Review of Bougainvillea Café by
lizzyp1977
Advantages: airy, nice decor
Disadvantages: food is average
...I enjoy the Bougainvillea cafe as it is a perfect place to stop after walking and bargaining.
The cafe is all decked out in pink and the atmosphere is relaxed. It is located in a classic riad with an open space in the middle. There are also paintings and photos on the walls which are for sale.
The open middle offers air and sunshine. In the winter the cafe is heated.
The food is well priced but fairly average fare including pizzas, sandwiches and salads.
The service is good though and the cafe offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.
To get there enter the medina through Bab Ftouah and stay straight. Pass the FNAC Berbere and at the cafe is located at the end of the street....

excellent food
Review of Metro Cafe by
dufus
Advantages: a 30 second walk from the metro stop, child friendly with high chairs, and facing all the shops.
Disadvantages: none
...The Metro Cafe, situated on Hight Street in the centre of Manchester,
is, i have to say one of the best cafes i have had the pleasure of eating in, in a long time.
the Metro cafe has a european feel about it, yet whilst bringing a european feel to the city, they have pictures of manchester how it used to be in the early 50's, 60's...
on entering the cafe, you are shown to your table, and given a menu, you are neither rushed or forgotten about when it comes to ordering your food, and the people who own it are genuinely concerned that everything is ok with your food.
the food is excellent and not over priced, and the selection of pastries and cakes all fresh, will keep you going back for more, and if you just want to nip in for a coffee by yourself there are always newspapers on hand....
the Metro cafe is definately the place to go...

Students delight
Review of Mud Cafe by
marcw68
Advantages: Cheap and lots of choice
Disadvantages: Bit hard to find
...The Mud Cafe can be found next to Birmingham University on the Bristol road in Selly Oak. There is a big student population in this area and this cafe is a great meeting place at lunch or after studies.
All the dishes are mainly italian and are cooked fresh as ordered. The prices are cheap and the surroundings are clean and modern.
You can sit and watch the world go by in comfortable surroundings or you could watch your food being made as the kitchens are open and can be seen throughout the cafe.
The portions are good and plenty of choice. The owners know there stuff and can get your meal to you in minutes! Well worth a visit, even if you arn't a student....
