Paradiso Lost

Advantages: Has a certain nostalgic humour.
Disadvantages: Dated drivel

In my review of ‘Beowulf’ I may have intimated that it was the worst film that I had ever seen, I should have known better. No matter how bad a film is, there will be a worse one along in a moment, and this is it. ‘Guest House Paradiso’, directed by Ade Edmonson, starring Ade Edmonson and Rik Mayall, is an hour and a half of violent, lavatorial behaviour, unencumbered by any perceptible plotline or moment of real humour. #~ The Plot ~# The story, such as it is, revolves around Richard Twat, pronounced Thwaite, (Mayall) and his assistant, Eddie (Edmonson) as the proprietors of the cheapest and worst guest house in Britain. Sited on an unnamed windswept coast, alongside a leaky nuclear power station, Guest House Paradiso attracts only the poor and the desperate. As Twat’s only ambition ...

Where Cork grows on trees

Advantages: fantastic area to visit
Disadvantages: none

At Easter we holidayed in Andalucia inland not on the coast. We had a hired car and did drive a bit and we also went for walks. Andalusia's mountainous and some of the area still had snow in Early April. Where ever we were it was not far away from a cork oak tree .A lot of Andalucia has man managed cork oak forests. These forests were quite dense not much light getting through the canopy. These woods not as dark as pine forest though The cork forests we went into seemed to be well managed and some have Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification, which recognizes that their forests are managed to the highest international social and environmental standards. The cork oak tree quercus suber is a deciduous tree the leaves lobed and it produces acorns. An individual oak grows 9=12 meters tall. A cork tree can live to about 200 ...

Review of Cork Woods of Andalucia

Cafe Nero

Advantages: Authentic Coffee, Clean, tidy premises, 1st class ambience and atmosphere
Disadvantages: Food range is not so great value.

Caffe Nero is a leading Coffee store Retail Outlet located in many high street, town center, and Airport Lounge venues across England, wales and Scotland. The company sells, Coffee as its main product. Also they stock Tea, cold refreshments, panini sandwiches, cookies, crisps, Chocolates, cakes, and sweets. What I find that makes cafe nero different to other coffee Retail Outlet's is almost a combination of excellent Coffee, and a high standard of Customer Service. The Music in the background of the store is subtle and light. This allows people to read a newspaper, to socialise with friends, family, or to enjoy a relaxing cup of Coffee in relative peace and quiet. The atmosphere is what makes caffe nero a pleasant and welcoming place to visit. The staff seem to be team organised. I have seen Table's been cleared ...
