Whilst working in Zurich, I loved going to cafe Sprungli throughout the day; especially early in the morning when the business professionals dashed in and out for a quick fix. It seems that the Swiss also love their cafe breaks which usually start around 10:30 a.m.and continue til closing around dinner time. Everything runs on time in Switserland, so remember to pay attention to clocks. The sweets are very fresh and the espresso is even better. If you have a problem with a smoking environment, then you may want to consider another place. That said, you better get use to considerate smokers in public places in Zurich as there are alot of places like Sprungli. The clientele are also interesting to watch; from young to old, the Swiss are very aware of fashion and style. I highly recommend this little treasure!!!!
P.S. Underneath your seat at Cafe Sprungli, are underground vaults filled with billions of dollars in material wealth and currency. You instantly feel like you belong.
