The Giza Pyramids are amazing

Advantages: You get to go inside, you get to ride camels
Disadvantages: The people there are poor and will hassle you and even try to trick you into buying things

If a trip to Egypt is not on your list of places to go in life you need to make a change. This was one of the best trips I have ever taken. Seeing the great pyramids is the number one reason I wanted to visit Egypt and it was well worth it along with a ton of other interesting things. The pyramids are something we have heard about and learned about all our lives yet there is nothing like standing in front of these amazing structures that still today ...
...even more interesting to hear as your sitting on the bottom block. The tour we took had us ride by camel through the dessert and to each pyramid, it was a once in a life time experience. You can even go inside them, although if you do not like small spaces I do not recommend it. There is also a light show at the pyramids that is spectaclular. In my opinion this trip is something you do not want to miss. one piece of advice watch out for the people ...

The Alabaster Mosque or Mohamed Ali Mosque is one of the famous mosques in Egypt it's located inside the Citadel of Salahdin which built by Alnaser Salah AlDin to protect and defend Egypt against the Crossers Attacks in the middle ages, the Mosque is looking very beautiful inside and well decorated, this mosque has been built by Mohamed Ali, an Albanian Solider who was came to Egypt with the Ottoman Army, and step by step he became the ruler of Egypt ...
...he make Egypt on of the strongest countries in the area, and built up a modern country and many factories, strong army....etc., and this mosque was one of his establishments he built it in front of AlJawhara Palace where he was staying, the mosque has been designed and established on the same way like the blue mosque in Istanbul, the mosque is designed in Islamic art way, for ladies who want to visit this mosque or any other mosque they have to have ...

Splendour of Egypt 7-21/5/05 CAIRO

Advantages: See the wonders of the ancient world
Disadvantages: Cairo is a very busy and noisy city.

...guide throughout); 3 nights in Cairo, 1 night at Abu Simbel, 7 night Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor, back to Aswan for 2 nights and then 1 night in Cairo before flying home. *This year the tour has changed, there are 4 nights in Cairo, 7 night Nile cruise, 2 nights at Aswan and 1 night in Cairo. You are now met at Cairo Airport by your tour manager/guide. CAIRO We arrived in Cairo after a five hour flight and while I was busy dying (I am a poor ...
...my worst nightmare drive in Cairo, the traffic chaos from taxi level (not bus level where there is a greater view of an accident waiting to happen) seems organised. The horns are used instead of indicators - which believe me are of no use (if they even work) as they drive so closely together. It is the attitude of the drivers which is a shock - they are so laid back! There are no heads hanging out of windows cursing at the driver who just has cut ...

The Treasure of the Pharoahs

Advantages: The finest collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world
Disadvantages: Very busy - Not air conditioned - No Cameras

The Egyptian museum is without doubt a must see experience if you are visiting Cairo. The museum houses the finest collection of Egyptian antiquites in the world and is the permanent home to the Tutankhamun collection. The basic entry ticket (around £3) allows access to all areas of the museum except the royal mummies room, for which there is an additional fee. Contrary to what is written in most travel guide books NO cameras are permitted into ...
...(The llustrated guide to the Egyptian museum in Cairo is one of the best) and should plan on spending at least a full day here (two if you have the time). Dress light as it gets very hot inside and make use of the fact that your ticket is valid all day. The grounds are also very nice for sitting and cooling off and there is a cafeteria just to the right of the museum entrance. ...
