Advantages: Great food, great beer great pub. Disadvantages: None.
...As my Ciao name is Bostonianbeer, I read with some delight the review on the Horse Chestnut at Rattcliffe on Trent, thought it was good and decided to go to visit today.
The pub itself is very nice, welcoming, light, clean and really an oasis amongst the usual run of the mill mass pubs.
The y had a great array of beers, but I had the Cottage B45 which is 5%, a little heavy for lunchtime but I managed it, two had soft drinks and Steve had the Budvar.
Four of us went for Sunday lunch. The cost for 3 course is £12-50, £7-50 for 1 and £10 for two.
We looked at the menu and it had 3 starters,
Homemade mushroom soup, cajun beef sald or potted prawns.
2 of us went for the cajun beef, 1 soup and 1 prawn. We could not find fault with any of it.
What was nice was that we were sat opposite the large window into the kitchen so had full...

Bad-Funkels Review ofGarfunkels, Manchester Airportby
jalipa
Advantages: It's There Disadvantages: Bad Food - Over Priced
...I have been to two Garfunkels – and each time I’ve regretted it!

I ordered "Cajun Chicken" with Backed potato and a side salad as an "extra".
Menu cost £8.75 plus £2.25 for the salad.
This is described as "a tender breast of chicken, smothered in Cajun spices and char-grilled"
What it is:- "pre-formed" chicken meat into a steak shape covered in burnt tasting goo. Identical to those frozen Captain Birdseye Chicken steaks. 2.99 for 4 from Tesco’s
To put it bluntly I think their menus...

Advantages: great weather and people Disadvantages: can't think of any
...My wife and I flew into Atlanta, a massive airport,
with Delta. We thought Delta was wonderful by the way. We picked up the car and drove to chattnooga, and stayed in the Hoiday inn where the CHOO CHOO is. It was a hundred dollars for the room, quite cheap we thought. In the morning we drove to Nashville, worth a visit, then on to Memphis. Gracelands of course was magic, so was Sun studio. A must for all Elvis lovers.
Then onto New Orleans, wonderful in all respects. Had a boat ride on that river, and drunk cafe au lait in cafe du monde, magic magic. We had a hotel in the french quarter, just $60 for the room. Unbelievable, but true.
We also visited Baton Rouge the capital, Not a lot for tourists but worth a visit, same goes for Lafayette. This is the Cajun capitol, a must do spot. Then the cotton fields and a boat ride on the bayou...
