I have just returned back today from Menorca, and had such a fantastic time, I wanted to share my experience in case anyone is looking for a brilliant holiday in the near future.
Myself and my partner arrived in Mahon (the recently made capital of Menorca) on 4th May 2007. We were travelling with Thomas Cook, and had booked a week in the Valentin Star Hotel (4*) located in Cala N Bosch on the South west Coast of Menorca. We had booked half board, which also included in flight meals. Booking about 6 months in advance, and booking online via the internet, the entire package for 2 of us cost the bargain price of under £500! I believe we saved about £400 by booking online. Transfers were also included, and all in all, the service was quick, efficient, and with friendly staff.

Introduction
Personally, the invention of the dishwasher has been one of the greatest inventions of recent times. As both myself and my wife work, we need to maximize the quality time we get together. What better way to accomplish this than to shove all the pots and pans into a dishwasher, forget about it for a couple of hours and then put them all away when dry. For some reason we seem to have got through dishwashers like there was no tomorrow (the handle broke on one and the motor went kaput on the second) so when we chose our current dishwasher, we studied reviews on reliability as well as performance and the Bosch came out on top.

Advantages: proximity to beach and marina , very friendly staff, in house entertainment Disadvantages: repetive food,hotel in need of refurbishment
THis hotel is suitable for families and couples and considering Menorca is reputed to be a quiet island this was a very lively holiday....The hotel is all inclusive and is adjacent to a fabulous beachand near to a very picturesque marina with numerous and varied bars and restaurants.......I loved the location of the hotel because if you got bored with lying around the pool you had the option of the spotless beach with magnificent waves on most days ...with easy access....or the marina where you could take a boat trip to most places on the island at a very reasonable price - Cala Galdana is highly recommended........
Food is good but not a great deal of choice .....lots of hake and pork and chicken cooked different ways but always hot....It is very repetative..Breakfast was good and ranged from full english to continental...Snacks had ...
This beach hotel is located in 300m² of beautiful gardens. In the well-tended grounds of the hotel, guests will find 2 swimming pools, 2 children's paddling areas as well as a sun terrace with parasols and sun loungers laid out ready for use. Guests are offered the opportunity to play either table tennis or try out archery. This hotel is located directly beside the beach in the southwest of the island, close to Cap d'Artrutx.
