, we met some of the other guests around the pool and discovered how much of a family hotel CaletaGarden is. It's actually a Thomson SuperFamily hotel which we didn't realise, but this was great as there were kids and teenagers of all ages to socialise with. Definitely a hotel for families, not young and lively or couples looking for peace and quiet!
Upon exploring the area, we discovered we were abit of a walk away from the beach and port at Caletade Fueste, but it was a pleasant walk still - lots of shops, restaurants and bars. The area was very relaxed and it was genuinely a nice resort to stay in; the beach even had its own chipmunks!
Inside the hotel was a wide variety of entertainment on a night, always catering for the children until the late hours from during the daytime at the pool, to adult entertainment events at later ...

I'm not sure if the hotel offers any car parking facilities as I hadn't needed any.
It's a 3 star rated hotel and is quite modern and situated quite centrally in the resort of Costa Caleta (or CaletadeFuste, or Castillo as it is also known) Only a short 10-15 mins transfer time from the airport. It has over 300 rooms. It was built in 2005 so is still quite new. The hotel is only about 5-10 mins walk (5km) from the beach and the shops and parks are all nearby too.
They do have internet facilities with 2 PC's in the lobby with pay to use internet ...
Advantages: family friendly. lolvey staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Safe Disadvantages: None.

Sa Caleta Playa- the accommodation♥
Sa Caleta Playa apartments are tiny compared to other resorts I had been to. And that?s what it is- a resort, it is not simply standalone apartments. It has all the features of a hotel- e.g. reception, bar etc. But it is just apartments instead of rooms. There are 107 apartments in block of three. As they are in blocks of three, there is a ground apartment, a first floor apartment and a second floor one. The first and second floor apartments have a balcony and the ground floor accommodation has a terrace garden.
