Calgary, Canada (YYC)

As soon as you step into the airport, you are greeted by 'helpers' dressed in cowboy clothes! I have been to Calgary 5 times and this still puts a smile on my face after a long flight. The 'helpers' are there to guide you into the arrivals hall, as the walk in quite a long one and you feel you might take a wrong turn!As you walk along the corridor there are pictures of the Canadian scenery which creates excitement.
The airport itself seems dull and not very welcoming. Immigration are fairly swift but it can be a bit of a wait for your luggage.
On your return home, while waiting for your flight, there really isn't much to see or do. The shops are a bit thin on the ground. As for eating, it is mostly fast food but it's cheap.
