Adequate accomodation
Review of Days Inn - Calgary South, Calgary by GriffMedia

Advantages: Clean, tidy, good food, helpful staff
Disadvantages: located in commercial district

A standard North American style hotel, we stayed here for one night in September 2008 on a bed and breakfast basis before we picked up an RV for cruising around Canada. Smoking and non smoking rooms available Spacious comfortable rooms, en suite cable TV, kettle and Safe. Free coffee 24/7; Good breakfast, with cereals, breads, cold meats, hot sausages, beans etc Nice pool with a slide, complimentary towels Helpful Staff; Not the sort of place ... Read review

Travelodge Calgary Airport - its nasty!
Review of Calgary International Airport Travelodge Hotel, Calgary by NomisG

Advantages: None to speak of.
Disadvantages: Dirty, noisy, no food, BAD location, creepy staff.....

...review of the Fairmont in Calgary to see what onother C$30 gets you). I would not have wanted to eat here - even if food had been available. In the morning we even decided to leave without showering because the bathroom looked so nasty. (In the end, I don't think we caught anything.....) The staff were OK, but I couldn't help getting the feeling they were all related in some unhealthy way!! Oh, I nearly forgot the best bit - the advertised pool ... Read review

A hotel in downtown Calgary.
Review of International Hotel, Calgary by jo145

Advantages: Suite hotel in downtown Calgary with great food
Disadvantages: Some traffic noise

...suite for us at the International Hotel in Downtown Calgary for the first night of our Canadian holiday. Opened in 1970 with 248 suites, it was only 6km from the airport and reached in about 15 minutes by taxi, but the estimated time on the airport shuttle bus was 1 hour as it stops at several hotels en route. Calgary has a structure of avenues and streets in grid formation and the hotel is on 4th Avenue Southwest, close to Chinatown and two blocks ...
...Reception, was bright and comfortable settees and chairs were around the long narrow area. Check in was quick and easy and a credit card was needed for incidental expenses, in no time we were directed to one of the lifts and would have been zooming our way to the 7th floor and our suite if we had realised we needed to swipe the lift with our key card! But it does mean you need a card to use the lift, preventing undesirables lurking in the corridors. ... Read review

Ok but not amazing as an airport hotel
Review of Executive Royal Inn North Calgary, Calgary by nim12

Advantages: great airport shuttle service, large rooms, possible free late checkout
Disadvantages: staff slightly unhelpful, room cleanliness variable

We unfortunately had a mixed stay at this hotel in September 06. Arrival: The shuttle service is easy to use. Use one of the many interactive free telephones in Calgary airport to contact the hotel and they will send a driver and minivan to collect you. This arrived within 15 minutes and is about a 15 minute drive from the airport. We used the shuttle service to return to the airport the next day which we found to be reliable and efficient - you ...
...at reception. Check in was quick and easy and we were offered a late check out at no extra cost (to 1pm) at no extra cost which I was pleased with. However there was no assistance offered with baggage we were given a ground floor room at the end of a long corridor. Rooms After struggling down the corridors with our bag we found that the room had not been cleaned and had obviously been used for some serious partying!! When we complained we were moved ... Luxury, Ramada Calgary style!
Review of Ramada Hotel Downtown, Calgary by gt5952

Advantages: Loads
Disadvantages: None

The Ramada Hotel in Calgary (Canada) is a personal favorite, and when in Calgary, I wont stay anywhere else, indeed, I am willing to travel an hour or so just to stay there! My son loved it too (But not as much as the theme hotel in Edmonton (Different room every night!) The Ramada Hotel Downtown located in the booming metropolis of Calgary and only one hour from the beautiful Canadian Rockies to the west. Its within walking distance of the local ...
...you can expect with the Ramada group. Often, as the cab pulls up outside, a doorman opens the cab door, and two chaperone's appear to take your luggage, the footmen welcome you will a smile, and impeccable manners. Youre guided in to the reception, reservation confirmed, and then led to youre room. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well designed, they are also refreshingly soundproof, meaning you cant hear youre neighbours, and more importantly, ... Read review
