Calm Air

Advantages: Friendly crew
Disadvantages: Questionable safety

...As I lived in Taiwan for a few years I flew with Air China a number of times, mainly to Hong Kong. The airline was basic and domestic airlines from this part of the world do not have the best safety record in the world. The cabin crew however were always polite and pleased to be of assistance. The aircraft were generally quite old but that may just because of the route I was on. I was amazed that the cabin crew kept their calm and composure one time when we were flying by I typhoon. I personally was feeling sick and not in the mood for anything and they continued to be helpful offering me a tablet. I’d personally avoid airlines like this if possible because of the safety record but it is nothing personal about the staff.... Read review

Advantages: Lovely atmosphere
Disadvantages: Long Flight

...This place is gorgeous! Sun, sand, sea, sangria and shrimps. A perfect holiday. Get a hotel by the sea and you will be able to have the nicest strolls and meals in America. The people are friendly, the air is clean, the weather is hot, the food is nice, the water is calm, the beaches are roomy, the hotels are lovely and the transport is great. You may have guessed that i liked this place. You can shop, swim, walk, tour, sightsee and more. If you have been dying to go to America i advise you go here , it is super. The only thing wrong is the flight there and back - 12 hours!... Read review

Advantages: great staff, reliable service
Disadvantages: fares should fall a little more

...Have flown QANTAS six times, long haul, and basically things were fine - they compared well with other major airlines in all respects. An incident stood out on a flight from Singapore to London. One passenger was being very difficult (she was causing trouble to try to be upgraded - and was entertaingly disruptive to all the passengers) and the air stewardess was taking no nonsense. She managed with great tact to calm this very rude person down, but every time she could, she turned to the rest of us and winked or pulled a face, and Ms. Awkward could not see why the rest of the plane was in hysterics. The fares are OK, but have some way to fall. So long as the fares are only 'a little' higher than the competition from budget operators like Charters or Garuda or Air Phillipines then fly Qantas - for good old Aussie hospitality... Read review
