We had a wonderful and relaxing holiday, and apart from a couple of heavy showers in the evening, the weather was great. The first thing we noticed on our arrival was the cleanliness of the foyer and the smart appearance of the friendly, helpful staff. This was our first time at half board as we usually go self catering, and a pleasant surprise it was to be. Our first venture into the dining room was in the evening, and we were amazed at the variety of food on offer, all set out buffet style. We took our soup and walked along the counter, deciding mentally what we would have for main course. Everything from salad to stodge, you select your own, and how much or how little you want of it. Staff in the dining area are obviously trained to a high standard and maintain high levels of hygiene. We found the rooms to be a little sparse and cramped but considering how little time was spent in there, it wasn't an issue. A slight problem if you get one of the rooms at the back of the block, (and we never heard anyone mention this, I just read about it in another holiday revue site) is that there is a disco across the road which opens at midnight and goes on til 6a.m.. There is obviously some noise from there, but with the balcony door shut we never heard much, certainly not enough to keep us awake. Other rooms overlooked the pool and entertainment area. This may cause some concern as the entertainment goes on til about 12.30a.m. but as most of the children are still enjoying being on stage singing and dancing, only the early bedders would be bothered, and we didn't see many of those except the ones departing next morning. The entertainment itself was very well performed by a group of dedicated and friendly players, with additional items from touring dancers and musicians. There are also three bars to choose from, the Garden bar being the last to close at 2a.m.. Personally, I found the pool a little on the small side, considering how far the beach was. Nearest one was about a mile from the hotel over a hilly road, something to consider if any of your party have walking difficulties (we managed to borrow a wheelchair from the hotel for one of our party). Shops and bars are within easy walking distance, and we found the nearest minimarket just around the corner, was one of the cheapest for our requirements. All in all, a very good holiday in a very clean, friendly hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, but moreso to families with young children, as they are very well looked after and encouraged to join in with activities.
