Lucky dip...
Advantages: Ideal location, wonderfully luxurious building. Disadvantages: Some of the staff really need further training and/or to work on their attitude to their guests.
Firstly, this is a beautiful building. It's also ideally situated if you don't want to be driving too much as it's slap in the heart of the city. I've stayed there twice now with my partner and she and I share the same opinion. Both times we've had one of their "executive double rooms" and been very impressed with it. The rooms have been comfortable and the beds very luxurious. Our experiences with the customer service have been rather more patchy. ... ...in bed. The tray of food that arrived, while exactly what we ordered was largely cold and inedible, the scrambled eggs, especially, looking as though they'd bounce if they were dropped! My recommendation would be to go for the cereal if you're having breakfast in your room. Or to go down to the ballroom for breakfast. Whenever we've gone down for breakfast we've been lucky enough to be seated in the window overlooking a park and thoroughly enjoyed ...

Fit for a Royal visit??
Advantages: Comfortable, lovely bathroom and great decor Disadvantages: Ground floor rooms noisy, breakfast not great
Cambridge is a city of austere and imposing architecture and although the Georgian(?) exterior of this hotel is a flat, grey and not the prettiest around (last time I looked a couple of the letters were missing from the name too) the interior is luxurious and well designed.
I stayed here for one night in the Queen's Room, a tastefully decorated (If you like the Victorian look) medium sized room on the ground floor. According to my boyfriend who ... ...the others were perhaps not as large, although there is a King's Room next door. The bed was comfy, and all the usual facilities were present: TV, hairdryer, Tea and Coffee although there was no minibar. Room service meals are reasonably priced and there are pay per view films on the TV.
I am frequently disappoionted by hotel bathrooms but ours was really spacious, had a bath as well as shower and was lovely and light; the sun streamed in even through ...

Hotel Felix Cambridge - Great !
Advantages: Great food and accomodation, lots of facilities Disadvantages: None
We recently stayed at the Hotel Felix in Cambridge for the weekend and we had such a fantastic time so i thought as no one had written a review yet that maybe i should be the first!. The hotel is really easy to find and its only about a mile from cambridge city centre..
Hotel Felix is a traditional, large victorian building on the outside but its really modern looking on the inside.
The hotel stands in really spacious surroundings and it has a ... ...soft and nice!
The hotel felix had many facilities including a large jacuzzi, health club, a spa and a lovely hair salon, there is also a large gym that has all of the latest excersise equipment and large plasma tvs you can watch or listen too while you are using the equipment which is really nice,
The 'grafitti resturaunt' was outstanding - the food was really fresh and tasted very good. The staff were very good and we didnt have to wait very ...

Cambridge Crowne Plaza; appeals to all punters!
Advantages: Location, atmosphere...It's luxury in a great city" Disadvantages: Can be hard to locate
...gave Amanda directions to the Crowne Plaza. Embarrassing, yes! This is not the easiest hotel to find in Cambridge's eco-friendly travel system. We found it, though. Eventually. And we're very, very glad that we did! We arrived, finally, in Downing Street - and located the hotel - an easy task once you know where it is! We pulled up in the front drive and handed over our keys for valet parking. £7.50 was an absolute bargain, and valet parking is always ... ...with what we saw. Standard Crowne Plaza stuff included a very comfortable, very wide King-size bed with pure-white duvet and foot-level bed-spread. They do style really nicely, I think. Nice working desk, comfortable chairs and occasional table. Interactive colour TV, iron, ironing board. There was a modern, quiet, efficient air-conditioning system - so nice to see, after our last trip to a non-air-conditioned hotel on the hottest night of the year. ...

Welcoming and comfortable.
Advantages: Location, friendly, clean and comfortable. Disadvantages: Carpet in the toilet and out dated decor in the rooms.
The hotel is conveniently situated within a 5 minute walk of the centre of Cambridge I stayed here with my husband as a birthday treat for 2 nights in March. We had a twin bedded room at the front of the hotel which gave us a lovely view of the River Cam and Jesus Green. The room was clean, comfortable and in good decorative order, although in need of an update. The bed was comfortable although I personally would have liked a duvet instead of a blanket. ... ...where we could relax and watch TV.
The bathroom was small with a shower over the bath. There was a lack of space for toiletries and tooth brushes etc. Although it was clean and in good decorative order I did not like the fitted carpet in the bathroom.
The hotel is situated over 3 floors and there isn't a lift so a ground floor room is essential if you find stairs difficult.
All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful and booking ...
