...Southern California.
We leave San Diego and cross the USA-Mexico border at San Ysidro and then we reach Tijuana.
In 1911 the "Federal" (Mexican federal soldiers) slaughtered 31 "Mangonistas" (rebels) that just kept the control of Tijuana after the Mexican revolution..
From 1915 this city became a destination for some Americans of San Diego that come here for horse races and cockfights, to bet in the casinos. Advantages: Good bargins in shops. Easy to get to from San Diego, and the food is great. Disadvantages: nope, can't think of any
...So I was in holiday in San Diego, and thought Tijuana, Mexico, I fancy Mexico, let's check it out. So off we went. took the hire car down to the border, a short drive from San Diego, and once you get there, there is a huge car park, and shuttle bus service. (I've heard that there is a train service from San Diego to the border too, but I never tried it).
For a couple of dollars return, the bus takes you over the border, and after a short drive, you are in Tijuana main street. The bus service was ecxellent and very regular.
The town centre is basically one long street with shops, bars, restraunts etc. We did wander down a couple of the side streets, but turned back after not finding anything of interest. Mind you with no guide book with us, and no information about the place at all, I think it's a safe bet we missed out on a lot...

Advantages: Good shopping, bars and clubs Disadvantages: Can be sleazy

"I hope they let you back into the states"
"The police are corrupt, they'll arrest you for anything and take bribes".
Tijuana is notorious for trouble and has a bad reputation amongst lots of Americans, who will no doubt have a story about "a friend of a friend who was arrested for crossing the street and has never been seen again" but my opinion is that, it is fine to visit as long as you are sensible.
* Passport/visa information *
Americans do not require a passport to cross the mexican border, but should take id such as a current driving licence.
Visitors of other nationalities should take...

First to clarify, this is actually entitled "How Does It Feel to Be Something On".
Anyway!
This doesn't happen very often. A band I like put out it's *third* album with this LP. Bands I like normally they disappear after one or two, or they haven't more
