Some of the reviews on here are really good, I will keep mine short though I'm helping out on summer camp worldwide at the moment (oh yes i really do like camp that much)
I went and worked at a summer camp and it was amazing!!! If anyone is thinking about going applications are open till around May. It beats working in the UK, getting paid to have so much fun is great. Apart from over the summer the money probably works out as nothing but it doesn't really matter.
The J1 visa gives you plenty of time to travel after camp is over too, usually you will be invited back to American counsellors home towns so you can egt to see quite a lot. You will end up missing camp 9 months of the year, its probably one of the better jobs abroad and maybe the most fun I have had.
