You get what you pay for.

Advantages: Price, Complete privacy, private entrance to rooms, close to the city pubs, clubs and bars.
Disadvantages: £50 per night bond money to be paid on arrival, noise at night from Beverley road

...internet I came across the Campanile which seemed to be reasonably priced and conveniently located for where I needed to be. The thing that had appealed to me with this hotel over others in the city was that you had your own private entrance to your room (they in chalet style blocks) meaning you didn't have to pass through reception to get to your room and could come and go as you pleased.

I booked my room through a hotels booking ...
...I checked in at reception I was told that a further £50 per night (bond money I think they called it) was required in addition to the tariff I had already paid. This was something that had not been mentioned at the time of booking and although the money would be returned once I had checked out I still felt it was something that should have been made clear at the time of booking. ...searching on the internet the Campanile in Hull seemed nice and reasonably priced. As we got there (after getting lost) we discovered it was nothing like it had been described on their website, it was scruffy, in a horrible area of Hull and very noisy. We overlooked the outside and went to our room, oh dear! this was also as bad as outside, a bit skanky and dirty but liveable in. We managed to make the most of our room for the two days using it ...
