For Little Miss's 5th birthday, we decided to take her back to Disneyland Paris, and because we had actually stayed on site" on our last visit, we wanted to get away from the general melee and stay somewhere quieter this time. Our requirements were that the hotel was near good road links, so that we would have no problems finding Disneyland Paris, or the airport, and it had to be clean and comfortable.

We have stayed in Campanile hotels on previous visits to Europe, and when I found this one on the internet, claiming to be only 10 minutes from Disneyland Paris, we booked, ready to take our chances!

**GETTING THERE**

After driving from the airport to Disneyland Paris, the last thing we needed was a complex journey to find the hotel. It proved to be remarkably simple. From Euro Disney, take the A4, exiting at Junction 12 and it's signposted Bussy St Georges, and there the hotel can be found, actually set back from the large roundabout. It did actually take us about 10 -15 minutes, and there was no arguing about the dreadful navigating, because it really is one of the easiest hotels to find.

It can also be found on the train from Disneyland paris, getting off at Bussy St. Georges and then walking for 10 minutes; after a 10 hour stint round a theme park, I don't think I could have managed this!

**THE ENTRANCE**

Once we had pulled into the large courtyard, we noticed that there was plenty of parking around a garden area, and there are actually 2 hotels, which are part of the same chain, and one restaurant.

The entrance area is very well maintained and spacious, and although it was close to the roundabout and one of the main roads, there was actually a feeling of tranquility, because of the wall and garden area, including a play area at the back.

**THE HOTEL**

The entrance lobby is accessed via large automatic glass doors, and is the usual desk, with information leaflets, and details of the hotel and surrounding area. It was manned by one person, but we still checked in easily, and were soon in one of the two lifts, and on our way to the first floor.

The hotel is actually similar to many of the large chains of hotels which seem to be constantly springing up all of the time. There are quite long corridors, with directions to the rooms being clearly numbered, muted colours, very soft carpet so that sound is muffled, and, thankfully, no piped music anywhere!

**THE BEDROOM**

We had booked a room for three people, and had been told that the extra bed was underneath one of the single beds.

The room was simply furnished with twin beds, bedside table, desk, storage space and a television. There were also tea and coffee making facilities and some biscuits, but these were not replenished for our second night in the hotel, which was a bit of a shame.

The whole room was clean, and there were spare blankets, but once we had got the third bed out, it was obvious that it was for people who knew each other well!! The three beds had to be set up next to each other, and once this had been done, there was no space to sit at the desk; the only space was at the bottom of the beds. It became quite an adventure, and Little Miss thought she was camping, because all of the beds were different heights and lengths.

However, we had no complaints because we knew we were going to be in the room for very little time, and it was spotlessly clean, with comfortable mattresses.

**BATHROOM**

This is a bit of a misnomer, as there was only a shower, toilet and sink, separated from the bedroom by a lobby area, which gave extra space.

Again, it was clean and functional with a good power shower, and soap and shampoo supplied, but not replenished for day 2. The towels were white, and again very clean, and clean towels were brought for our second night, and there were also spare towels in the cupboard…they may have been small, but there were plenty of them!

**BAR AREA**

Near the entrance lobby there is a small bar area which is very well stocked with spirits, beers etc. We actually commented on the fact that for such a small place, there was an abundance of spirits.

In the bar area are 3 low tables and stools, with newspapers and magazines readily available, at no extra cost, and all up to date.

Although 3 tables seems small, we managed to get a seat on the times we went downstairs, which surprised me as the hotel was obviously busy, and the bar area seemed the natural place to rest after a day out or when checking in or out. It seems that most people use the hotel as a stopping off place rather than for social purposes, although on the Saturday evening, there were a lot of people in the bar area, obviously waiting for their table in the restaurant

**RESTAURANT**

The restaurant seats 90 people, but as we found out on our first night, it gets busy on a Saturday night, so it is advisable to make a reservation.

The restaurant is light and airy with a smoking and a non smoking area, and in the center is the buffet area.

BREAKFAST is served Monday to Friday 6.30a.m- 9a.m, Saturday 8a.m-9.30a.m, Sunday 8a.m-10a.m.

Breakfast costs 4.50 Euros, and we did have the breakfast for both mornings we were in the hotel, since it seemed the simple thing to do. Breakfast is buffet style, and at the price, there is the chance to get lots of it! The restaurant wasn't full by any means, so breakfast was leisurely, with the chance to keep revisiting the buffet bar to get extra food. Available for breakfast were butter and chocolate croissants, a range of breads, ham, cheeses, fruit salad, fresh fruit, yogurts, cakes and as much tea, coffee and orange juice as you could manage.
The one problem we found was that there is a delay between one batch of cakes being eaten and the next arriving, but other than that, excellent value, and very clean with helpful, efficient staff.

LUNCH…this is one meal we didn't sample, but lunch is served 12-2p.m, daily, and is the same as the evening menu.

DINNER…evening meals can take the form of either a buffet style meal which is a wide selection of cold meats and salads as well as fish, and a selection of desserts, and this buffet costs from 13Euros, upwards, depending on the type of buffet you want. For example, you can add a hot meal as a main course and have the buffet as a starter.

There is a children's menu available, which includes the obligatory chicken nuggets and chips, and fish and chips. We opted for the latter and for 5Euros got a giant fish finger on a kebab style skewer, along with fried potatoes and ketchup.

There are also meat dishes including chicken, duck and steak from 8 Euros, and wine is plentiful, and again, not expensive.

The portions were good, and the food tasty although the service was somewhat hitty missy (is that a word?), because we had to ask several times for the water to be brought to the table, so much so that the manager eventually chivvied the staff along so that we would have a drink before we had finished our meal.

**OTHER INFORMATION**

Reception is open between 6.30am and 11pm, although bookings can be made outside these hours using card system payment.

Although you have in the room a hairdryer, and iron, the boutique sells toiletry items.

The hotel has 92 rooms and states that the third bed is free for children under 11, but I can't be certain on this one. We paid around 50 Euros a night but check out different sites because I think there are always special deals and rates.

**VERDICT**

A good clean hotel for an economy stay if all you need is a place to rest your weary head and feet.

With 97 rooms, there is a room to suit all tastes, whether this be single, twin, double or triple, but no suites!

The hotel is definitely no frills but is clean and comfortable and has excellent links to major routes. Good car parking facilities and tickets for euro Disney can also be bought at reception.

The staff are friendly, and helpful, and the whole place is child friendly…I think it has to be since they will have a lot of Euro Disney travelers.

Having been to Disneyland Paris twice now, I would definitely say that this is the best way to do it- hire a car and stay off site so that at least you manage to get a peaceful evening meal and can explore a bit of the outlying area.

All in all, we had a good two nights stay, and this was just what we needed because we knew before we arrived that we would be spending very little time in the actual hotel, so spending vast quantities of money would have been ridiculous. Not a place for a romantic weekend away but a place for good value no nonsense no frills beds!!
