Advantages: Connections with road, clean, easy Disadvantages: Fog prone, limited airlines
...'t there are enough things to look at and to play with to keep mini-travellers busy.
Once in the departure lounge there are enough cafes and shops to while away a few hours and, as the disadvantages say, this can prove useful in the winter when Bristol is prone to fog and the ensuing delays. It is also prone to 90 degree winds across its runway which demand the full skill set of any pilot when landing!
Bristol is good - there's nothing else to say really. Go and the like have given it a good future and let's hope that more follow their suit. As a commuter departure point it hassle-free and efficient, and if you're off on hols it's got to be far better than fighting the crowds at any of the main airports....

Advantages: clean, uncluttered, facilities Disadvantages: selection of destinations is a bit limited at the moment
...in the airport, even though its much much smaller than its fellow UK counterparts, like Gatwick or Heathrow. With a nice selection of shops and restaurants, and areas where you can watch the flights take off and land... it really is a pleasurable experience.
There isn't much you can say about an airport, but for me, the best things about Bristol are:
1. Its clean.
2. Its got huge uncluttered open spaces.
3. Its got big state of the art screens.
4. Its got all the facilities you need.
5. Its layout is simple to follow - getting the right gate isn't a nightmare!
And, as for the selection of places you can get to from Bristol, its ever increasing. Go, the airline, is the latest to announce it will be introducing flights from Bristol. Now you can get to most major cities in mainland Europe and the UK... and all the usual holiday hotspots...

The Tourist/Sightseer
Loads for you, absolutely loads! Parts of Bristol date back to the 11th Century but there is little evidence of this left. The magnificent Cathedral in the Centre dates back to before the 13th century and is fully open to the public, you can just wander round, takes in all the different rooms to the Cathedral, the Norman Chapter is worth taking a look at. And its where I shall be in November when I graduate!
St Mary Redcliffe is again another massive church, even mentioned by Elizabeth 1 as the 'fairest, most godliest church in the whole land', although it is doubted she was ever here! On open days they allow you to go into the vaults where slaves were chained to the walls before being moved.
Brandons Hill, a large open space in the centre of Bristol with a large folly that you can climb and the view across the whole...

Ali Campbell's Running Free is a great mixture of songs featuring some equally as talented artists. What a brilliant CD to be given.
