...This summer I went on a holiday to LakeGarda. I expected a small lake covered in trees. I was wrong. I reached the shore and immediately found myself staring at a vast expanse of water. It was a brilliant sight.
The water is clean, I went swimming in it. The beach dips gently into the water. It was warmer than the Camping San Francesco swimming pool! The only piece of advice I can give is to wear sandals or shoes in the water - there are a lot of big rocks!
Prepare to do the following:
* Jump off the pier
* Go Swimming
* Snorkel
* Hire a pedalo for £5 per hour or £8 for 2 hours!...

...I visted LakeGarda a couple of summers ago and must say it was one of the most people places I have ever visited. Lots of people do seem to complain about it being overly touristy but with scenery like this I can certainly see why. Although it is an extremely popular holiday destination and there are a few touristy gift shops about I still would not say that LakeGarda was too touristy.

Advantages: Excellent food/drink, stunning views, diverse range of things to do and see Disadvantages: Drivers can sometimes become erratic/aggressive, some places expensive.
...I found LakeGarda to be an extremely worthwhile trip. There are some particularly stunning views that would be appreciated by nature lovers, but which need some searching for. Areas in and around the actual lake itself (which is huge!) and around the castle further inland are lovely.
Mostly pebble beaches surrounding the lake, with a few sand beaches dotted around the edges. I stayed in a resort on the edge of LakeGarda which was very reasonable. It was possible to rent chalets, apartments, caravans, tents or plots of land which self-owned tents could be pitched on, all for very good prices, for example, a bottom floor apartment for 4 rented at around easter time costed around £100. There was a restaurant, swimming pool, camp facilities (e.g. laundarette) and shops on site. Many similar resorts are nearby. Small airlines...

Well it’s nice to be back and get writing again.
I thought I would write about the Eden project as it is a place I have wanted to visit for a long time and at last on this break I got the opportunity.
A LITTLE HISTORY.
The Eden project is a... more
Most people are aquainted with Ben Elton on Saturday Night Live, and his rambling, fast paced stand-up. His books are similar in that in places he goes off in a tangent, but it adds to the story rather than detracts.
