We visted the Hotel Armadams for our honeymoon back in October 2006 for a short break to take in the sights and sounds of Palma.
It is situated one "block" away from the main promenade in Palma, a road lined on one side with bars, hotels, shops and the marina and harbour area on the other.
I am not a great Spanish speaker, infact I know only the most basic of phrases to muddle through, but the staff were very understanding and very helpful, even though we weren't checking in until really late following a delayed flight.
The room was exceptional. Clean crisp tiled floors beautufully airy which really made a good first impression.
We had a view looking out at the flats opposite, but a sneaky view between the buildings to the goregous marina opposite.

We really enjoyed our time on the beach, and we love sitting outside Spanish cafés watching the world go by while we eat (and some fine food we had too) but not for every meal for a week.
We took a late booking and for the money we had a lovely time, the sea was warm and calm, the weather was almost perfect, the food was good, the people we chatted to were nice, but I felt a little cheated about the accommodation.
I have put below the price per person per night as stated on a website I found for the Gala Hotel in CanPastilla, Majorca, also a website address for anyone who thinks this might be for them, but there are much better hotels that I could recommend above this one.

Palma on the Island of Majorca is a great place for shopping and doing a bit of sight seeing.
We were staying in Palma Nova and being past the age when drinking all day in pubs and clubs, then flaking out on the beach seems a good way to spend a holiday, decided to find some 'civilized' life for a change.
There are buses from all round the Island into Palma. The City itself is big. Everything is so spread out in the modern part and we found ourselves walking a long way to find major department stores and designer shops on the main road. However, we eventually found a wonderful shopping area in the old Arab Quarter of the City.
This area is a maze of alleyways and small shops of all kinds. There are designer shops selling everything from shoes to hair accessories and woolly jumpers to delicate lingerie. It is very easy to get ...
