Thomas Cook have a holiday manager with you from your arrival at Heathrow airport, right through your tour until you arrive back at Heathrow. You are treated to Executive lounge facilities at the airport until your flight is called. Included are free drinks and nibbles.

Next you go to Saint Adele in Laurentians. The best time to see this area is in autumn for the colour of the trees. The Maple trees at this time of the year are spectacularly coloured red as the leaves are turned by the sugar oxydising. Again coach travel of the area is optional but well worth it.
The next part of the tour is to Ottawa. A city tour is again included in price. Also you get full day of leisure. Day 10 is travelling to Toronto, via the 1000 Islands, on th St Larence Seaway. A boat trip round the islands is optional but an excellent way of looking at them. Toronto is the last part of the tour. A city tour is included which takes in a visit to the CN Tower. A trip up to the top is included . The rest of the day is your own. This is an exceptional trip as you can walk on a glass floor and look to the ground below.
The next day is a trip to Niagara Falls, which includes an optional helicopter ride over the Falls (A MUST). This helicopter ride takes approx 20 minutes and takes you over the Niagara park area. You get spectacular views from the air of both the Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls. The boat ride on the Maid of the Mist which takes you right up to the falls on the river is included in the price. You get a free poncho which is well worth it, as you get very wet from the spray.
The next day is your own for the morning and then you fly back to Heathrow from Toronto, again with the tour manager. This helps if you have any problems.
I would highly recommend this type of tour if you want to see many cities of Eastern Canada.
Advantages: Lovely scenery, cheap prices, nice people, less brash than America Disadvantages: None
...in Canada. Canada is lovely and has vast areas of open space, you can drive for miles and miles without seeing a soul but if you want people there are also large cities such as Toronto that offer all the usual city things. We stayed in Toronto overnight, the hotels were more expensive than we were used to during our visit but this is probably to be expected for a city, there are some great shops and the CN Tower is well worth a visit (it was for ... ...there are teams all over Canada and the USA.
No trip to Canada would be complete without a visit to Niagara Falls. They are stunning. The sheer size of them is hard to comprehend. At certain times of the year you can walk under the falls and at others they freeze over. Niagara itself is not a great town, I found the area around the falls to be too commercialised. However if you travel a couple of miles down the road Niagara On The Lake is a lovely ...

Advantages: Canadian history and culture Disadvantages: It's very cold in winter
Ottawa, Canada?s capital city.
What?s it like ?
Although it?s the capital, it?s a smallish city (about 1m people) so it?s possible to walk round. Unlike a lot of other Canadian cities they?ve preserved their historical buildings so the city has a real sense of history and heritage. The verdi-gris roofs of the parliament buildings in contrast to the brickwork are a lovely sight and their gothic tone is very atmospheric.
Ottawans have the typical Canadian trait of being very friendly and helpful so expect a warm welcome whatever the weather.
Weather ?
On a par with most other major Canadian cities ? warm in summer but freezing in winter.
Things to do ?
- Parliament buildings. You can go and watch the ministers at work in the House of Commons then do a free tour of the buildings and the peace tower. After go see ...

Advantages: Natural wonder of the world Disadvantages: Canadian side is vert tacky
I visited Niagra Falls when I was on holiday in Canada a couple of year?s back. It is perhaps one of Canada?s premier visitor destination, Although you should not forget that half of it is in the United Sates. The two sides of the Falls are diametrically opposed with the Canadian Side being over commercialised and tacky while the American side is made up of parkland and nature walks.
In Canada the gardens, museums, and souvenir shops stretch in all directions. You can stay in Niagra Falls in a wide range of Hotels and Motels to suit everybody?s pocket. There are a number of options to do at the falls including flying over the falls, taking a jetboat through the whirlpool, or even taking a simulated barrel ride in a motion simulator. The falls are one of the most impressive natural wonders of the world. You can see the falls in ...
