In summer 1998 I went on a holiday to Cancun in Mexico. This was the best holiday I have ever been on, even though I have been to many other places such as Florida, Mexico was the best. The daytime activities were excellent with many watersports. At night there were lots of different places to go and things to do. The weather in Cancun was brilliant with clear skies every day except one where it rained but this was a refreshing change. The best bit about Mexico is the beaches which are brilliantly clean with golden sand and crystal clear waters, perfect for snorkeling. If you are planning to go to mexico then I would recommend going on an all inclusive holiday as this was one thing that really made the holiday special.

There is much more in Mexico than just Cancun such as ancient Mayan Cities, great culture diversity, etc. Next time you go to Cancun I suggest you take some time to get to know this ancient country and culture.

Advantages: A very good resort with lots of different attractions Disadvantages: Sometimes expensive, and a bit of a tourist trap. Take dollars ONLY for the airport tax.

Advantages: Atmosphere, weather, nightlife (cheap clubs), shopping, hotel and club staff, English speaking Disadvantages: Can be stormy, also can be expensive to drink and bars and go on excursions
