Cancun, beautiful beaches, hotels and weather. Me and my partner travelled in March, the weather was absolutely beautiful, hitting high 30C every day. We paid £1400 for the all-inclusive resort of Tucancun for 7 nights. The flight was long, approx 12 hours, but it was worth it. Soon as we stepped off the flight the heat struck us, felt like heaven.
Our hotel was on the main strip right next to the beach, the crystal clear waters and white sands, simply amazing. The hotel was a 3* plus, rooms were big, clean, en-suite but simple. The food was excellent and service was very good also, however some staff did find it difficult to understand english. Cancun itself has become very commercialised, you can find all the main resturants such as TGI's and fast food places. It is also expensive, finding bargains are not easy. Transport around Cancun couldn't be easier with buses running every 5-10 minutes. There is plenty of night life too, we went Coco Bongo, a large packed out night club with various shows running every night, a new night club experience.
The choice is yours, you can shop all day, relax on the beech all day and still have plenty to do at night. A very relaxing and enjoyable holiday, highly recommended.

Advantages: Beautiful sea, can do excursions to ancient ruins, lots of entertainment in the hotels. Disadvantages: Difficult to get to the main beach if not staying in a hotel on the beach.
