I cannot recommend Cancun highly enough. It is an amazing place to visit. I went with 2 other young, free and single lads and it was fantastic, I could have stayed there for months. The night life was unbelievable - girls, cheap drinks (all inclusive for £15 for a whole night), and open all hours.
As well as the nightlife, there are dolphins, ski-jets, speed boats, parasailing, diving, relaxing, beaches, beach volleyball.
We went for two weeks which costs £800 per person, plus about £500 spending money, but we did everything.
It may be expensive to go, but once you are there it is brilliant.

Advantages: Beautiful sea, can do excursions to ancient ruins, lots of entertainment in the hotels. Disadvantages: Difficult to get to the main beach if not staying in a hotel on the beach.
