Cantina Del Ray

The "Cantina" in Cantina del Ray means Canteen, but you'd never know to look at this Mexican resturaunt!

Towards the South side of the city, it is located in a 1980's development in King Street. A little like the Tardis, looks tiny from the outside, but huge inside. Decorated in typically sunny colours, the seating area is large in capacity, over 100 at any given time.

The menu as as expected, burritos, enchiladas ...

Featured on the www.5pm.co.uk website, I'd suggest that Cantina Del Ray is a good place to go in a crowd, or for a pre-theatre. Don't expect miracles, but the food is quite cheap and the atmosphere is good.

The menu as as expected, burritos, enchiladas as the staples and really nothing different on show. However, what is presented is done to satisfaction and portions are reasonable, as is the price. Drinks are typically resturaunt prices and sometimes drinks are on promotion, which is worth looking out for in any hostelry!

The service is faultless, even when packed and there are no complaints with the hygiene.
