If you can only go to one place make it here!
Advantages: Romance, family friendly, beautiful. Disadvantages: too good to leave..
Wow! what a place. This may not be a true reflection of southern Africa but it is a wonderful place to have a romantic evening dining out under a tree. The estate incompasses many things to do. For the family you can spend the day looking around the estate and buy a picnic lunch from their delicatessen to eat in the gardens by the lake. For a couple you can choose between seeing an opera together in the ampitheatre (which my husband helped build) ...

I was very scared at first but went along with my family and didn't want the kids to see how scared that I was..

A real diamond review
Advantages: Diamonds, tanzanite you name it!! Disadvantages: Expensive
...to enrol on one of the scheduled tours which incorporated a visit to The Diamond Works.
What are "The Diamond Works"?
The Diamond Works is Cape Town's most exquisite collection of jewellery, offering a rare experience to visitors.
It is a destination where all visitors can learn about diamond cutting and it a fully operational diamond-cutting workshop. What is a diamond and where did it come from?
Diamonds date back over 3000 years to India where ... ...evil.
History also sates that the diamond was sometimes used as a medical aid in the hope of curing sickness which was not successful, before becoming more popular and India's supplies started to diminish, before long diamonds were located close to the Orange river in South Africa and has managed to satisfy the World's demand for diamonds.

Nothing but Animals and Wilderness!
Advantages: Very exclusive, few other visitors Disadvantages: Lack of animals
I'm still reeling from returning from Sanbona... it was really just the most amazing place I have ever been.
Located about 2hrs drive east of Cape Town, South Africa, www.sanbona.com
You can just go to the reserve for the day, but this would not do it justice at all... you have to stay at least two nights to really submerge yourself in the place. You have the choice of two lodges to stay at, one with six rooms and the other with four.. that means ... ...at any one time!! That's just three jeeps travelling around over 140,000 acres of land! If you compare that to the Kenyan safaris or even some of the other South African ones, it wins hands down. The other game reserves pack the visitors in so that it feels more like a zoo.. there are jeeps and people everywhere just queing up to see the animals.. not at Sanbona, that's its beauty. We had a suite at the Khanni Lodge which had a completely private ...
