Cape Town, South Africa
Review of Cape Town Experience - General by Whizzdom

Advantages: A rainbow experience, everything you could find anywhere else in the world, and more
Disadvantages: Crime can be scary, it helps to be vigilant.

Cape Town is undeniably the crème de la crème of picturesque cities to visit in South Africa. Even as you walk around in the city's central business district, the air is still pure enough to feel as if any of the beautiful first world buildings and constructions, breathe at one with nature as a certain palpable, hazy warmth wraps around you in calm, quiet magnitude. Tarry awhile to listen to the gentle cooing of doves overhead and you may just find ...
...than the rule. In Cape Town, rains fall often, even during summer, and winters have been know to yield snow in certain parts, especially mountainous regions. If Table Mountain's magnetism has pulled you in, ensure that you tackle what looks like a deceptively "easy" walk, by not doing it alone, and following necessary precautions. It has been known for an unsuspecting tourist to literally get lost in the majestic glory of it all, only to perish overnight ... Read review

The beauty that is Cape Town...
Review of Cape Town Experience - General by troggers4

Advantages: Stunning Scenery, It's History, So much to do!!
Disadvantages: Crime Rates

On your arrival in Cape Town, you straight away become familiar with the sheer divide of the rich and poor as you make your way past row after row after row of townships (shanty towns). You should be aware that as you drive around Cape Town, people will come up to your car and try sell you things. It is worth keeping doors locked at all times and at night time try to prevent stopping completely because there is a high crime rate during this time. ...
...a stay in Cape Town, I have experienced a few which I believe are definately worth a trip to. A must is Table Mountain, which can either be walked or most commonly now (due to crime rates) reached by use of the cableway which takes visitors right to the top. This is very safe and is fixed with a rotating floor to enable visitors to see all views possible (costs R120/£9)! Once at the top you can choose between a number of walks along the mountain, ... The beautiful Cape
Review of Cape Town Experience - General by Steven_Holroyd

Advantages: Lost to do and see
Disadvantages: Busy city with too mush to do and see

The Cape Town experience in general was great. It’s a very busy city with a wide range of things to do and sea. A must for most people to see is Cape Point. It’s a stunning reserve at the point of Africa where the two great oceans meet. The V&A Waterfront in my opinion though is just another tourist trap, rather spend your time there seeing places like Simon’s Town, Kommitjie and Hout Bay. Don’t miss the Marinas Warf in Hout bay (a dining experience ...
...go. The castle in Cape Town, Fairview goat cheese and wine farm, Monkey land just outside Gordon's Bay, Taal monumnet near Paarl, Chapman's Peak drive, Strawberry farm in Stellenbosch, French Hugano monumnet in Franshoek, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Naval Museum in Simon's Town, Bolders Beach at Simon's Town, scratch patch just outside Simon's Town (if you can catch a tuk tuk in simons town - it's a blast). An experience of a lifetime is the ... Read review

...the opportunity to fly to Cape Town for my holiday, I am really glad that I did. Cape Town is the third most populted city in South Africa and is famous for its harbour, mountain and many many more attractions. *~*Getting There*~* There are many ways to fly to Cape Town most regional airports now offer an indirect service via Paris or Amsterdam with the likes of KLM or Air France or you can get a direct flight from London with British Airways, ...

Depending on the time of year that you travel flights can be from as low as £149 per person each way and in peak travel season this cost will more than likely increase to £340 per person each way. *~*Passports*~* As with all passport information this can ... Cape Town: A Native's Piont Of View
Review of Cape Town Experience - General by no37

Advantages: Ocean on the left, Ocean on the right & Mountain range in the middle
Disadvantages: Winter can get wet and windy

I have lived in Cape Town most of my 29 years. People will probably think/say that I am a bit biased, BUT as a "Cape Townian" I think that we as the natives knows the best and worst of our own city. The thing I like most is summer. For the active type of person there is the Beach, Hiking and trips up Table Mountain. On the one side of the peninsula you've got warm sea water and on the other side for the more adventurist of you the water is a bit ...
...you take the train from Cape Town to Muizenberg. There is no need to pack lots of food as there is shops/cafe's in Muizenberg for you to buy something. You can hike all the to Fishoek or Houtbay from Pecks Valley in Muizenberg. If you decide not to Go all The way and turn back you can also catch a swim at muizenberg. There is also a lot of Backpacker lodges dotted across the Cape Peninsula. The Ocean on the East coast of the peninsula is Ideal for ... Read review
