The Cape Town experience in general was great. It’s a very busy city with a wide range of things to do and sea. A must for most people to see is Cape Point. It’s a stunning reserve at the point of Africa where the two great oceans meet.

The V&A Waterfront in my opinion though is just another tourist trap, rather spend your time there seeing places like Simon’s Town, Kommitjie and Hout Bay. Don’t miss the Marinas Warf in Hout bay (a dining experience of note.)

If you can see Robin Island do, it may seem rather expensive but it’s worth it. There are also a couple of different harbor tours that you can do but the most informative and inexpensive by far was the one we took in Simon’s Town. (done one and you’ve done them all.)

Other places to see and go.

The castle in Cape Town, Fairview goat cheese and wine farm, Monkey land just outside Gordon's Bay, Taal monumnet near Paarl, Chapman's Peak drive, Strawberry farm in Stellenbosch, French Hugano monumnet in Franshoek, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Naval Museum in Simon's Town, Bolders Beach at Simon's Town, scratch patch just outside Simon's Town (if you can catch a tuk tuk in simons town - it's a blast).

An experience of a lifetime is the 2nd new year that normally take place along adderly street and ends at the green point stadium.

Another fun thing to do and that is safe to do in groups is catch a train from somewhere like Plumstead to Simon's Town and back - the scenary is wonderfull.

If you are going to go to the Green Point Stadium there is also a flee market that's open on most Saturdays, but be very carefull of the con artists that make you beleive you can find the pea under the cup or the queen. You can never win - it;'s a scam.

The best way to find out more specifics is to go to the tourist information counter at the Cape Town international airport when you arrive in South Africa.

Overall the Cape experience was a great one and there was much more that we would liked to have seem but just didn’t have the time.

P.S. Here is a website that I foud usefull http://www.tourismcapetown.co.za/
