Advantages: Lots of tourist attractions, good souvenirs, great experience. Disadvantages: A big culture shock, food not very nice.
...was excellent. I stayed in the 4 star CapitalHotel, and it was the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in, with standards equal to or better than Western hotels. I believe that all hotels in Beijing are of an equally high standard. Also, it is excellent for shopping. Jade and silks are the best buys and you can pick these up very cheaply if you shop in the right places.
There is no nightlife. You can go out for a meal if you are brave enough to risk the traffic or there is organised entertainment such as acrobats....

So what was our itinery for the sixteen night visit to China? Our holiday was booked with Voyagers Jules Verne and charmingly named 'The Original Yangtze Cruise' as eight nights of our sixteen were to be spent sailing up the vast Yangtze River to include the new Three Gorges Dam and the Three Gorges as they are now before the dam is completed in 2009 and drowns another eighty metres of the mountains that make this part of the Yangtze River so recognisable. The remaining eight nights were to be spent in five star hotels in the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, and Xian with internal flights between Beijing and Shanghai and after our river cruise a flight from the river port of Chongqing in the Western provinces to Xian to visit...

...there are many kinds of hotel in beijing ,but i think the harmony hotel is one of the best one . beautifull building , well docaration ,red-hoted service . suzhou hutong is named by a famous city suzhou city,it is very easy remembered, if you remember it ,you will find it easy.
the hotel count can change your country cash into RMB,so that i you forget to carry cash,not worry.they will help you.
when arrive shanghai air port,you can call the hotel and ask them to arrange a car to pick you from airport if necessary. it is very convinient and cost you a little. considerable service will make you feel at home.
if anything need,you can call the worker directly ,they are ready to help you in 24hours a day,seven days a week.
i think choosing this hotel is a good choice as i stayed there for two days...

When we booked our holiday to a cabin Norway I made a fundamental error and miscalculated the time it would take to get from Oslo Gardemeon airport to the fjord area of Norway. With a distance of 293km (182 miles) I thought that we could easily cover the more
