I have used Car Jet.com twice now. The first time we hired a car from them and picked it up from Malagaairport. We had booked a Ford Focus and that is exactly what we got. My mum and dad asked me to book them a car and when they got to the same airport a day later, they didn't get the car they had originally chosen.
Apparently if that certain car isn't at the airport when you arrive they give you the nearest thing.
We also hired a car in March from Tenerife to be delivered to our hotel. We had landed at our hotel and eventually got to bed at 3am. About 8am we were rudely awakened by the telephone ringing. It was the car hire company wanting us to go and collect the car. They had sent a car and driver to collect us to get our hire car. This time we didn't get the car we had booked , but it was one just as good.
We paid for a Renault Clio with air conditioning , it cost £94 for one week. If you pay before a certain date ,you get 10% discount. I prefer to pay cash on arrival, because we arrived at an unearthly time we had the car delivered to the hotel as my husband didn't feel like driving after being up all night. There is no extra cost for delivery.
How to Book ~~~~~~~~~~~ The site is excellent with prices made out very clearly in any currency you like. There are decent pictures of the cars. There are quite a lot of destinations in which you can find car jet. First of all you find which car is suitable for yourself then email car jet with your requirements. You will then get an email back acknowledging your requirements. If paying cash on delivery all they want to know at the time is your flight numbers and time of landing. Once all your details are there they will email you back with a booking form , the car voucher will then get printed off from your computer. You will need two copies , one for yourself to keep for your records and one to take with you. If you are paying by credit card then they have a secure site where you enter your card details and the payment is made direct minus your discount if within the offer period.
I found all this very easy, I even booked a car for my mum and dad and they paid by credit card. You can add an extra driver on for free.
I will be using them everytime I go to Spain, or Tenerife.
The staff were very friendly at the destination airport, and if you emailed them anytime they would always respond very quickly.

Great op. I am not sure if you made it clear enough to people that carjet is an intermediary and that they can book your car with a range of hire companies. They were fantastic over new year when I rented from malaga airport. The company supplying the car was Europa who tried to rip me off. Car Jet sorted it with the local agent on the phone immediately and got me a £100 reduction. Cheers

I found Avis very helpful in Tenerife. They were one of the cheapest for a group D car. I booked it though RCI. One tip remember your driving licence. Shane forgot his and we had fun getting it faxed over from the UK! Great opinion. Thanks for the advice, I will look into this company. Louise
