I booked a car at Glasgow Airport online, with two booster seats for my children. They were supposed to be £15 (for the two of them)for the week, according to the online quote. But when I received the bill at home, a few days after returning the car, I found out that I had been charged £35 (2 x £17.5) for the 'child seats' ! CarJet car hire at Alicante and Murcia airports

Advantages: Slick website to sucker you in
Disadvantages: Hidden charges, especially fuel surcharge, poor sevice by car hire companies

We have used the CarJet hire car service many times from both Alicante and Murcia airports when we go to our little place in the sun. CarJet is in the business of providing one of the cheapest car hire options. Their website is great and we have never had any difficulies re payment and the many bookings, but beware of the optional extras and how they sucker you and me when you arrive at Alicante or Murcia. Disadvantages: Unbelievable customer policies! Unfriendly. Short term money is more worth than a satisfied customer.

Very poor customer policies! Alamo really surprised us with very strange business ethics! To sum up my experience: Alamo personnel give customers false information (about reimbursement and about car details). Alamo cannot handle special requests (we needed a special car and tried to solve this in advance). We had a terrible experience with Goldcar in ALICANTE, spent 3 hours at their desk, always being dumped because of a customer behind us as if we were not customers ?! Disadvantages: Car not checked before hire - beware. Check befor you set off.

A few months ago I hired a large car, which turned out to be a very ugly (only my opinion) Chrysler Sabine. I hired it for 10 days to go on holiday with.
