Advantages: Cheap, lots to see and do. Disadvantages:
...Budapest is another of the former Hapsburg cities, with the Danube separating Buda from Pest. There are so many things worth seeing that Budapest requires a full weekend to even see most things superficially. Public transport is very cheap, yet some tourists still baulk at buynig a ticket, there is accommodation available cheaply and centrally, and there are no ends of places to visit, and many places to relax. For one of the most breathtaking views, head up to the Fisherman's Bastion and look down across the Danube to the Parliament building. The Underground system is excellent and easy to use, but beware of the steep stairs in many stations, if the escalators are out of order. There are a multitude of restaurants worth visiting, and I worth recommend Fatal (bodes well you might think!) on the Vaci utca. Watch out for pickpockets...

...the banks of the river. Arriving on a Sunday evening, it proved difficult to find an open restaurant with any tables available, but we eventually stumbled across a traditional Hungarian restaurant in the back streets of Pest where we enjoyed a typically paprika-dominated meal.
The next day we headed to Buda, trekking up Gellért Hill to the Freedom monument commemorating the freeing of the city from Nazi rule in 1945. The views over Budapest are excellent; indeed the summit of this hill was used to site a fortress after the 1848 revolution to control the population. Soviet cannons remain trained on the city from this point, a reminder of the troubled times the capital had under communist rule. Walking parallel to the River, Várhegy (Castle Hill) can be reached, with the impressive Royal Palace dominating this entire area.

The Art`otel Budapest.

Art`otel is up to now very small hotel a chain. Up to now there are hotels in Budapest, Berlin, potsdam and Dresden. Here a designer concerns hotel with 4 asterisks of which in the year 200 was built, in which each room is differently created. I found particularly funny in Budapest that the carpet on the floors was very imaginatively arranged there. With dominos. On the first floor was one point on the domino. On the second floor, two points. On the third floor, three points etc.. Was equipped the hotel of the American artist Donald Sultan.
