Cardiff International Arena
Advantages: great location Disadvantages: expensive inside
...went to the CIA in Cardiff when i was around 14 years old so a few years ago now. i went to see boyzone there and rememebr thinking omg this place is huge and i was really spun out by it all, it was my first concert and i was just amazed by the atmosphere there. So it wasnt until returning some years later to see westlife twice and blue that my opinion changed!
Firstly the CIA is smack bang in the middle of cardiff and is very very easy to get to, ... ...parking fees are costly in cardiff generally)! The CIA is home to many events such as concerts and shows. Generally i have only been to concerts there so I can not comment on anyother event that happens there. When you first enter the CIA there are some charming people on the door waiting to check your tickets ect. Honestly they are not the most cheerful people i have ever met but then would you be with hundreds of giggling and excited women coming ...

You mean there are shops in Cardiff
Advantages: You can get anything you want Disadvantages: None
...make. Head straight on into Queen St. the pedestrianised shopping heart of the city or turn right into the Hayes. It’s closing in on lunchtime, so we decide to head for the Hayes, with its outdoor café and people watching opportunities. After a pleasant lunch we wander around the Hayes, popping for a while into Waterstones Bookstore and Habitat before making our way past the second branch of Waterstones into the Queens arcade. Here we buy a ... ...arcade we find ourselves on Queen St again. A quick look in Gap, then it’s on to Boots, HMV, the largest branch of Dixons in the country, Monsoon, WH Smiths, Next, Racing Green, Marks & Spencers, Anne Summers, Thorntons (for that gift for granny) and Austin Reed. We saved Austin Reed for last, because we can walk through it and into the Capitol arcade. In this two level arcade we find the Gadget Shop, H&M, a jewellery shop, Virgin, another ...

A world of comfort
Advantages: huge screens, low prices for students, comfy seats Disadvantages: too many floors - get lost easy!
...suggested the UGC cinema or Cineworld as it's now known, as it was closest being in the city centre.
Background
The first Cineworld Cinema appeared in 1996 and since then has grown to a massive 72 cinema outlets in the UK. The company is owned by Cine-UK Ltd who have also taken over the UGC company and merged the two together to form 'Cineworld Cinemas'. ---------------------------------------
The Cineworld that this review is based ... ...that!
The tickets at Cineworld are very well priced and great for anyone on a tight budget like me. For students - any film, any time will cost you £3.60 except for if you go before 12am (this never happens being a student!) when with the Earlybird ticket you can get in for just £3.00! I'm not sure of the other prices for adults and children but I'm sure that the price never goes over £5. Another service Cineworld offer is the 'Unlimited Card'. ...

Castell Coch - Visit a Fantastic Victorian Folly
Advantages: Beautiful Interiors and Exteriors. Disadvantages: Not Accessible for Everyone
Castell Coch is situated in the village of Tongwynlais, just outside Cardiff (About 10/15 mins). The Castle is situated on a wooded hillside overlooking the Taff River - and, less fortunately, the M4 Motorway (The M4 isn't very noticeable from the castle, but you can get a nice view of the castle peeking out of the trees from the road.) HISTORY The castle is very beautiful inside and out. It is like something from a fairytale. There is an element ... ...1868. Both Cardiff Castle and Castell Coch are regarded as masterpieces of later Victorian Gothic Revival design. The castle is small, consisting of three towers. The castle has drawbridge, and turreted, tall conical roofs. The name Castell Coch means red castle in Welsh, and originally referred to the colour of the roof, although it is now a grey/green colour. Some of the original medieval castle can be seen on the ground level. The Victorian Gothic ...
