If anyone is thinking of going to cardiff for a stag/hen party or just a night out on the town then the best place to start is Mill Lane, less than 200 metres from the train station. There are 7 or 8 bars come restaurants (with outdoor seating in the summer) all next door to each other, most of them open until at least 1am. At the end of Mill Lane is St.Mary Street, a long busy street full of shops and bars. Your first port of call should be the Walkabout Inn(an ozzie theme pub) it's a very large bar with a huge tv screen, 3 large bars and a big dancefloor downstairs(with the obligatory cheesy DJ), they have drinks offers on through most of the week Don't go here on big match days though as people start queuing outside from about 9am and the queue doesn't go down all day. Next to the Walkabout is Liquid, a brand new London style cafe/bar, very nice interior but drinks are a bit expensive. Further down is the Prince of Wales, an old theatre that was converted into a JD Wetherspoons "discount" pub where they sell all the drinks you would find in a normal pub but at cheaper prices, only problems though are that they don't play music, and they don't have any tv screens.
