Alton Towers Cariba Creek Waterpark what a great way to spend a day. Initially the cost of the day for a family is around £45 but I thought this was great value for money for a family of four for a whole day. There are plenty of changing facilites and lockers.

On entering cariba creek swimming pool you are given a wrist band, once you go down an inside slide your picture is taken, you check the monitor and if you like the picutre you scan your band and on your way out call in at the shop and view the pictures. These are reasonably priced.

There is no time limit whilst you are in the pools. The pools are great warm, and entertaining and offer lots of different sized pools for different ages. There are of course shallow pools, deep pools and the rapids, All these cater for the different ages and are all very good. There are lots of benches, seats, chairs for resting on when you are not in the water. Take a magazine or newspaper grab a coffee and unwind whilst the kids are splashing around safely. There are many lifeguards watching and safety measures in places.

The cafe/bar area although is very expensive for some of the food and drink, and it even serves alcohol but we took plenty of water/squash to drink and some packets of biscuits to nibble. Thoughs it's great for tea/coffee and time just goes so quickly and is so much fun.

The hot pools are lovely to soak in but there is an age limit of no under fives. The outside slides are great. There are several to choose from and each time you go down a slide there is another level then another level and then finally the bottom level, but here there is a hot bubbly pool, there are plenty of seats in the water around the edges of the pools and if you keep your shoulders in you don't notice the cold on the outside and the water is kept at a constant warm temperature when outside. I loved swimming in the dark and looking at the stars and you just soak up the atmosphere. Because there are many pools and slides the pools never seem to crowded, There is always another pool to go into.

Inside - The slides/rides, here you can spend quite a bit of time queuing for the rings to sit on but it is well worth it. The adrenalin rush when you go down the big slide is amazing and you will surely want another go no matter how much time you spend queuing. There is plenty to do for all ages. Young children rush around filling buckets and spraying anybody foolish enough to walk underneath but it is all in fun and every joins in. This is an amazing entertaining water park where you can easilly spend many hours and think you have only been there a short time. We should have more waterparks like this in this country. It is as good as Centreparcs but probably better!

Well it's now well into 2008 and after another visit what can I say, GR8, Kids still love it and the adults do too!
