The bathrrom had a bath with shower over which was very handy for our smaller children. Was also immaculatley clean. Towels were changed 6 days out of 7 and the same for room cleaning. If you werent out of the room when they were cleaning they simply came back later, no problem. Pool was lovely, playground good for the kids. My 2 girls loved the kids club and the Thomas Cook reps were very good with the children. The evening entertainment was ok, the kids loved the disco with the silly dances and the parrot show. There was a bloke who was lying on a bed of nails and walking on glass one night which my younger children didnt like. The animation team were good during the day and organised football, shooting and darts games amongst other things. The bar prices were reasonable, would be a good AI hotel. Food was very nice, also was hot! although it did have the usual chips and nuggets, it also had fish, meat dishes and plenty of salads and veggies changed nightly. The desserts were gorgeous and the breakfasts were very good too. I have an awkward teenage eater and he found plenty fo things to eat. Only one grumble at breakfast, not enough yogurts!!!! The hotel itself is right in the middle of the resort of Es Cana and there was a fair with rides and trampolines for the kids and the beach was just a short walk away. Es Cana is a lovely place. If you want to go further afield there is a booking office in the resort and we got a great deal on a trip to the waterpark. We didnt book through the rep as their trips only go cerain days, so if you want an alternative day then go to the office! Only other thing we found was that when we wanted to go to Ibiza Town it took 2 buses to get their so we didnt go, was too hot and we didnt want to drag the kids their when it was hot. All in all very nice and clean hotel, good food only a short walk to lots of things to do in Es Cana. When we went it was a 2 star and Thomson were just starting to place a rep there, now i see its a 3 star which is rightly so but the prices are now higher!
Advantages: Not many but fairly central Disadvantages: food, comfort, everything really
...makes! I went to Caribe in May 2008 and cannot agree with very much of the above. I travelled with Thomas Cook and cannot really say much good about them either. We were met off the plane and told which coach to get on. The Rep then said she could not come with the coach and it was a case of if you see the name of where you're staying get off because the driver never said a word. If I hadn't have looked out the window at the right time then I would ... ...remote. If you don't want to get 2 buses to Ibiza Town then get the ferry. There are ferries leaving regularly for various parts of Ibiza and daily one to Formentara.
Ibiza is a pleasant island but Caribe hotel is somewhere I certainly wouldn't be going back to. ...
