Jolly Carlton Hotel - Amsterdam

Advantages: Friendly staff, modern decor, lots of handy facilities, great location
Disadvantages: Rooms are a bit on the small side and cramped

the best available double room when we got to the hotel. The hotel that we had booked was the four star 'Jolly Carlton'. I had a look on the internet and it seemed wonderful. We were told that check in wasn't until 2pm, but when we arrived in Amsterdam in the morning, we though that we would go to the hotel to see if we could leave our luggage there so we didn't have to drag it around the city until 2pm. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the central station, which we managed no problem, even with our luggage. If you don't want to walk then there are also several trams you can take, either from the central station or from the centre of the town, though it really isn't that far and it is a fairly flat road all the way, and it means you can window shop as you walk! The hotel is very easy to find and is along one of the main roads. It ...

Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport Quality

Advantages: New build, price, high quality, service, location
Disadvantages: Some airport noise

OVERVIEW I had not heard of the Carlton hotel chain prior to my visit to Ireland in late 2006, but it turned out to be a brand new 4 star modern hotel and the cheapest of this hotel class in Dublin at the time of my booking. I had already had a bad experience with a previous hotel in Ireland and was anxious that I didn?t want this episode repeated, so I took the plunge and booked with the Carlton. I was not disappointed and will be returning later this year. The hotel is ideal for short breaks, business meetings, people with an interest in aviation and families. LOCATION The hotel is located about 5 minutes drive from the main airport terminal. The hotel is new, it only opened about a year ago, it?s smart, modern and extremely competitively priced for hotels in this class, especially when using one of the many online ...

Review of Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport

Ambassador Hotel Review - Bangkok

Advantages: Location
Disadvantages: Outdated rooms

a few minutes walk from Nana Sky train. There is a huge variety of shops, restaurants and bars within walkin distance to choose from. When venturing further afield, taxi drivers had no problems finding the hotel (its been there a long time), athough it is always good to carry a card with the hotel name and address in Thai, just in case! The staff were very helpful, although a little busy at times. I checked a day early and only realised my mistake when I arrived at the airport. So rather embarrassed I headed back to the hotel and explained my mistake. The receptionist checked us back in with a big grin on her face! This hotel does provide value for money and I think they are currently updating some of the rooms. Although I think with all the new hotels popping up the Ambassador will need to spend a lot to match them. ...
