The discreet charm of the Casa San Blas

Advantages: A five-star stay?
Disadvantages: ?with just three-star facilities

Why does one like or dislike a hotel? Sometimes the reasons are obvious - a clean, polite place will beat a rude, slovenly one in anyone's book - but sometimes they're not. Naturally, the criteria vary from person to person. In my own case, having stayed at literally hundreds of hotels in my time, I still find it difficult to pinpoint what makes the crucial difference. Size matters, but it isn't everything. Even quite large hotels can sometimes prove pleasant to stay in. Ownership matters. Generally, independent hotels are better than those managed by chains because they are less typecast and their owners care more than employee-managers do, but there are exceptions: I've even stayed at Hiltons I've enjoyed, whilst some family-run places (à la Fawlty Towers) are the pits. Facilities and décor matter, but tasteful ...

Casa Mia - My Favourite Restaurant In Leeds!

Advantages: Everything!
Disadvantages: No Childs Menu - INFORMATION UPDATED!

review letting them know what I thought of it. I received a reply via emal: Thank you for your review, it was really great to see someone who loves Casa Mia and wants to share it with people. We were really pleased with the review, although I would like to point out that Coffee Shop are always willing to make smaller portions of food for children! We have tried a kids menu at Coffee Shop before but most of our customers are regulars and already know what they want, and the staff are always happy to help! And I definitely agree with you on the Hot Chocolates! Best ever! Thanks once again for the fantastic review. Kind Regards So, there you have it, they sort of do do childrens meals! Great stuff, I will let my mum know that for future visits when we take my little sister! ...

Benalmadena the Costa del Sol

Advantages: Friendly town with lots to do, a lovely holiday.
Disadvantages: If you steer clear of the 'English Bars' there are none

COSTA DEL SOL Benalmadea Costa, I'm afraid I was always a bit of a 'travel snob' regarding the Costa del Sol. I envisaged the types of scene in TV's Benadorm, a type of Blackpool with sun. As members of a vacation club ( it was then Sunterra now Diamon Resorts) we had the opportunity for a weeks break for relatively few points at the Sahara Sunset in Benalmadea Costa, as we could get Easy Jet airfairs to Malaga for a very low price we decided to try it. We have been three times more since then - so needless to say I was not disappointed. Benalmadena is only 15 kilometers from Malaga Airport, car hire is easily obtainable but it is only 25 euros for a taxi from the airport and there are plenty of excursions and good public transport available in the resort. It is set on the Costa del Sol between ...
