The first thing to stress is that this is Bed & Breakfast not a Hotel.

The owner and his Family used to live in this Flat (Apartment) they have made it into a Bed & Breakfast and have another Apartment nearby.

We booked through VENERE.COM which we find is quite a good site for Italian Destinations, one advantage of this site is that you do not have to ...

The Apartment is located in a Steet to the left of St Peters about 200 yards from St Peters.

When you arrive you need to be in the end of the street furthest from St Peters Just past a Large Church.

We Quatro Fontanas (or the Fountain Travel Club) stayed at the casa Franci last October.

The first thing to stress is that this is Bed & Breakfast not a Hotel.

The owner and his Family used to live in this Flat (Apartment) they have made it into a Bed & Breakfast and have another Apartment nearby.

We booked through VENERE.COM which we find is quite a good site for Italian Destinations, one advantage of this site is that you do not have to pay up front when you book. You pay the Hotel on arrival, so if you need to cancel there is no cancellation charges given the correct notice.

The Apartment is located in a Steet to the left of St Peters about 200 yards from St Peters.

When you arrive you need to be in the end of the street furthest from St Peters Just past a Large Church.

You enter through a locked gate and the Apartment is on the 3rd floor, there was no problem obtaining entrance, they quickly answered the intercom, and were waiting by the lift when we emerged.,

There is a entrance hall with the rooms opening off the central corridor.

They had three rooms for Guests, all doubles but they can get an extra bed in for children.

The best option is one of the two rooms that are at the front, they have a balcony where you can have your breakfast served with a view down the road of St Peters.

Both these rooms have excellent showers on-suite and also wardrobes. Comfortable beds. With nice lace trimmed linen.

The room at the back (we had this one) has comfortable bed, but just a Rail for your clothes. A small balcony that looks into the central courtyard which is surrounded by apartments, and also views of the railway line.

The view a bit disappointing, but later grew on me as you sat and watched life on the other balconies. A bit like a movie, an elderly couple chatting, a young child blowing bubbles. Neighbours chatting.

Breakfast is prepared on trays which you collect from the central area, coffee or tea or chocolate whatever you ask for, do not be shy they will oblige.

The breakfast was Cerial, cake, yogurt, french toast. fruit juice.

The owner was an Australian Italian who had spent time in England growing up. A very charming attractive wife and the children. They were usually about during the Day and would help out with information about sites/transport etc.

You really feel part of the area and community rather than staying in a Hotel, although the price is not far behind hotels.

Just to the right entrance on street level is a bakery open early mornings.

To the left the Pub, quite a relaxed place for an evening drink.

Fifty yards down the road in street opposite the Church are two Trattorias both were very good value & quality.

So to sum up Basic Bed & Breakfast but great Location for Centre of Rome St Peters.

One last thing in our room on Wall at Foot of Bed a 3 foot by 2 foot Illuminated Light Scene depicting a relaxed Nude with light bulb positioned ( you can guess) seemed out of character with rest of the place.
