This was the house Simon Bolivar stayed in for longer than other any place in his adult age. It is where he spent the last years of his life with his mistress. If you know the story of Simon Bolivar this is a great place to visit for its historic value. The museum is inside this beautiful country house which is filled with furntiture of Bolivar's Era. It also includes Letters, documents, personal possessions maps, uniforms that have all helped to piece together events in his life.
When you walk up into the house the path, take a close look to the ground, it is made up of tiny bones ( from cattle). After you take a look around and explore the house and learn more of the history of Simon Bolivar spend time wandering the beautiful gardens -take a good few hours to see everythingthe flowers all in bloom its an amazing sight. At certain times you can see how coffee is made, and sugar cane. The enterance fee is reasonable it is around 3.000 pesos, The gardens and house is open everyday of the week expect from Monday.
I recommend visiting this place and see history and beautiful views - its in a great place near the bottom of Moserrate (another great place to visit).
