I've been here a few times, so in a general sense that says it all! This is a good-value (not cheap, but good value!) place to eat if you like tapas. Here's why:
Atmosphere - this is a more genuine and Spanish atmosphere than other similar ones nearby (i.e. La Tasca, which is great but a chain so...). Tables are nicely set, it's a bit dark which I think is good, but don't go if you are looking for a bright/cheery place. Good intimate place for a date!
On the atmosphere note, on 2 occasions while I was here there were Salsa dance lessons going on upstairs. This gives the place an active vibe and of course could be fun if you're into dancing!
Drinks - not extensive by my standards, but a good wine list and the bar is right at front, good if you need to wait around a bit. Little pricey, but it is Didsbury.
Food - well, restaurant review, so let's talk food. This is where CT shines, really tasty food. To be fair, a Spanish friend says it's not 100% authentic, but who cares if it's really tasty!?! All the standard dishes: patatas bravas, chorizo, croquettes, salads, etc are available. And plentiful bread. I think you can go here a few times and not get bored with the selection, that's fair to say! The presentation is nice, too, things brought out in succession (if you order a lot, don't expect to get it all at once, but that's how tapas goes) and in attractive dishes.
Desserts - not a huge selection, as was pointed out by an earlier reviewer, but there's a spinny glass case at the back so you can eye up what you want as you eat your mains/tapas! Very nice touch indeed!
Service - OK, nothing to get excited about as they weren't overflowing with enthusiasm, but I wasn't disappointed. The staff are nice enough and keep your drinks topped up.
Only poor point to this is that friends who had a Christmas party here said the workings of the party itself and food for the group weren't so good. Maybe not the best venue for a group occasion.?
