Advantages: Location, style, welcome, comfort, facilities, food, value
Disadvantages: None, except to those who might prefer swankiness and flunkeys

extension above the rear gardens, with picture windows affording a spectacular panorama of the surrounding hills as one eats one?s breakfast, or over the lit pool during dinner in the evening. The windows are equipped to slide, so in summer I imagine they would be rolled aside to give an open-air feeling to the dining-room, though there is also an outdoor eating area equipped with barbecue that is probably utilised in hot weather too. * Food and drink * Breakfast at the Casa do Visconde tends to be what I call ?continental plus? ? based on bread, rolls and croissants, but supplemented with fresh fruit, cereal, ham and cheese as desired. This suits us very well; we tend not to want a cooked breakfast and I don?t know what would happen if you asked for one, though I wouldn?t be surprised if they provided it. The cook is on hand to ...

Pas de la casa

Advantages: Fantastic Ski and snowboard school
Disadvantages: Not great Apres ski

We stayed in Pas de la casa which is a 2 and a half hour transfer from Tolouse. It is not a pretty town, but has a lovely backdrop of the mountains. We stayed in self catering accomodation which was clean and basic. Food and drink in restaurants was not as cheap as advertised online (although drink in supermarkets is cheap, 1 litre of smirnoff vodka 7.40 euros which is £4!) The service was friendly and it helped we spoke french and spanish, but food was pretty poor and food came out at different times which is not good for a big group. I really enjoyed my two snowboarding lessons which are excellent and a must for all learners that go there. I went for the one on one lesson, you learn so much quicker that in a big group.Overall a great place to learn and go tax free shoppping, but definately a budget holiday resort. ...

Review of Pas de la Casa/Grau Roig

Javier de Pedro signs for Blackburn.

Advantages: Now playing in England for Blackburn.
Disadvantages: Could have come sooner.

Graeme Souness may have bought some good people over the last few years as manager, Brad Friedel, the ill-fated Barry Ferguson and the young Jonathan Stead. But unlike all of these players, excluding Friedel, Souness has bought De Pedro for nothing. Javier De Pedro is Spanish, he was born on August 4th 1973, so he still in his prime. He is 180cms tall and plays in midfield. Souness still needs to buy a good midfielder after he sold off Dunn and Duff. De Pedro was signed on a two year deal so we have a lot of time to see how good he really is as a player. De Pedro is said to have been a proven goalscorer from freekicks and he weighs in with lots of assists as well. De Pedro has played twenty times for the Spanish national side. So, De Pedro looks like the sort of player that Blackburn need ; a left winger with a lot of expierience ...
