...WARNING! Please read if you are intending to stay at H10 Playa Meloneras Palace, GrandCanary. We booked a week break to stay at what we thought was a 5 star hotel arriving late on Saturday night we went straight to our room which looked very nice and was well placed in the hotel 5th floor and overlooking the pool. When we woke up the next morning we noticed that we were infested with tiny spider like ants all around the room, we went to the welcome meeting and informed the Holiday rep and Hotel reception they agreed to fumigate the room whilst we were out, we found a load of these dead spider/ants when we returned so we thought this would be the last of the matter. Next day it got worse they were every where in our clothes in the safe everything we moved or touched these tiny little creatures were everywhere, again we reported...

...I stayed in the Puerto Azul in 2002 for 2 weeks HB.
As a single traveller at the time, I looked for anywhere in the travel agents that had none or no single occupancy charge, and this was possibly the best out of what I was offered, all be it an Allocate on Arrival.
The design of the complex is quite unusual I feel, and the best way to describe it is imagine rock with a hotel on the top that keeps growing downwards...ie it drapes down the sides, well that there is Puerto Azul.
Having been to Playa del Ingles the year before on an AOA holiday and enjoyed it, I really wanted to go there and was a little disappointed when I heard it was Puerto Rico, however the resort is bustling and has ample shops and bars to occupy.
There are if memory serves 600+ steps down to the beach and the flat part of Puerto Rico where all the shops...
