...Stakis Chevallier Casino. First off all an update Stakis Casinos are nowdays Ladbrokes Casinos. This casino in Hope Street close to Glasgow Central Station is OK. Basically the Casino offers the normal gaming tables and slotmachines that are allowed in the UK. Casino tables are with real Casino rules which means "fair play". The casino offers members a choice of Black Jack, Casino Stud Poker and Roulette and slot machines from 2 pm in the afternoon and from 7 pm on Sundays. Around midnight the Punto Banco starts. The casino offers members free drinks non alcoholic and the occasional free meal for regular visitors. The casino should in my opinion offer more for regular customers such as more free meals and other give aways. It is not Vegas but it is as close as you can get to it in the UK not counting gaming capital... Read review

...When i looked at the previous reviews for this I was astonished not only to find one review, but the fact it wasn't even about this casino! I felt compiled to write a review and give Star City Casino of Australia the proper review that it deserves. During my travels around Australia i spent a month in Sydney (please see my other reviews about Sydney) and was amazed by the diversity of the attractions available. Star City Casino is one of the most extravagant, luxurious and star quality attractions that Sydney has to offer, whether you are a backpacker, on a hen or stag night or there on an adult family holiday. The outside of the building is utterly impressive adorned with lights (the firework name "Star City" formation was fantastic), moving escalators, cascading waterfalls and water features, extensive plants and trees... ...Located just outside the City of Edinburgh, the theme of this Casino is Art Deco, taking you back to the excitement of the 'Roaring Twenties'. A great atmospheric style and very effectively done. From reception, you are led into the downstairs area, comprising the Casino floor, a very comfortable 'chill out zone', gaming instruction booth and bar/lounge). The upstairs areas comprise the Manhattan bar, large seating area and the Charleston Restaurant, overlooking the Casino floor. On our arrival, staff were helpful and informative and didn't rush us straight to the Casino, allowing us to have a look around and soak up the atmosphere. Before heading to the restaurant, (pre-booked, always advisable) we enjoyed a few drinks in the upper lounge area whilst perusing the menu which offers an excellent international selection...
