Advantages: Luxurious rooms, great views, helpful staff, great location Disadvantages: Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
...Yes, it is not cheap. But you get what you pay for.
If you want luxurious rooms, great food, (the seafood "all you can eat" buffet is excellent), and friendly staff, then stay here.
Go to the top floor, where the swimming pool is located, and take photos of the surrounding area from there.
Also the location is good, 3 minutes walk down to Circular Quay, the Opera House, etc., can't be beat.
If you need sundry consumables, water, fags, chocolate, toothpaste, etc., then there is a "Open all hours" store on the way up from the harbour. Very useful.
Breakfast at the hotel is nice but expensive. Alternatively walk down the hill to Circular Quay and have a full English at one of the Al Fresco cafes, before going for a cruise around Port Jackson, or wherever your fancy takes you.
Dinner at the InterContinental is also not cheap...

Madrid, the Spanish capital is a wonderful place to visit since it contains a pile of suitable places to visit. If you like much the art you have many museums, although in my opinion the best one is the museum of the Prado, located in the stroll of the Castellana.
In him the magnificent paintings of painter Goya, a very important painter in Spain can be seen.

At night there is a pile of discotecas that to visit. One of the most important discotecas of Madrid, is Joy Eslava. There they are possible to be seen famous Spaniards, but, is one of the most expensive discotecas.
In order to eat there is a pile of sites and if you go that way...

Madrid is the first city in Spain(the second one is Barcelona).
There´s living there around the 4.500.000 natives(much of them are not madrilians because(like London i suppose)
there are a "mix "of people it,s a cosmopolitan cityin wich every stranger are wellcome.Much of them comes from South America(Spain is for these people the Modern Native country). Its situated just in the center of spain. Some interesting places too in frontier with Madrid are Toledo,Segovia ,Avila..
The city has a culture reflected on old monuments like Museo del prado,Palacio real,Pza de la villa,Catedral de la almudena(there is not the best cathedral of spain;there is much better I have to recognize it but it,s very handsome too...
