Castello Hotel is the ideal choice for the visitor of the city of Heraklion. It was designed so as to satisfy the highest demands of its select clientele, professional as well as recreational. It is open throughout the year and its convenient location offers easy access from and to the airport or the port, being at the same time very near to the commercial centre of the city. Classy decoration and liveliness are characteristic of the hotel\\\'s reception area. Elements from the past are coupled in a unique way with modern ideas and the pallet of colours unfolds promises and creates the sense of staying in a very familiar environment. The elegant, comfortable couches in the lobby and the charming architecture are the ideal setting for professional and private meetings. Open spaces, multiple optical exits, a friendly atmosphere and the impeccable service compose the perfect background, that is rounded off with the very carefully chosen lighting, that at times is diffused creating a relaxing ambience and at times highlights objects and spots. Beautiful views of the city and of the harbour can be enjoyed from the roof terrace whilst sipping Ouzo, before having an a la carte dinner in the restaurant where a full of Greek dish can be chosen. Guests will appreciate the very friendly and warm atmosphere of the hotel. It\\\'s a holiday resort with privacy, comfort and delightness specialised for families and young people offering them the sophisticated informal ambience of wellbeing and the warm relaxed atmosphere.
...with the eventful World Cup and its following celebrations. As absolutely nobody I knew would be in Ischia at the time, I ended up having to research online for hotels and came across the Miramare e Castello.
I confess to be a faithful user of Expedia.com, and I normally find its ratings rather reliable. The ratings given to the Miramare e CastelloHotel were rather good and becuase of my uncontrollable wish to arrive in Ischia as fast as I could, I did not continue the research much longer. I booked a seven night stay at the Miramare e Castello with breakfast included. The daily rate for the double room with sea view was 350 euros and my parents paid 530 for a suite.
The first mistake I made with the Miramare e Castello was previous to my arrival. I decided to take my car to Ischia in order to drive from Ischia Ponte (where the hotel is located...

Hotel Minos
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As we scoured through the Thomson travel brochure looking for a holiday destination we saw a nice looking hotel which was situated in Rethymno on the Greek island of Crete. The recently refurbished Minos hotel is a four star hotel and is situated 150m from the beach. The pictures of the hotel looked lovely so we booked two rooms for 10 days in August.
Arrival
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Minos hotel is about an hours drive from the airport in Heraklion. The coach dropped us at a busy roundabout where we were pointed in the direction of the hotel entrance. The entrance to the hotel is up a reasonably steep slope and as there was not enough room to get the coach up there we had to carry our luggage up to the hotel. Thomson had mentioned the slope...

Advantages: Well run, value for money, good and plenitful food, all inclusive, family orientated Disadvantages: Entertainment is amateur and you away from any other entertainment
...I booked at the Eupopa Beach after seeing an advert on Teletext, we stayed the first week in June and all inclusive for one week was £1100 for 2 adults and 2 children including the flights.
We arrived at 1am to be met by the hotel manager with glasses of orange juice to refresh us after our long journey. After quickly completeing our registration forms a porter took our luggage to our room. Which was basic but clean and comfortable, There was a double and single bed and also a single sofa bed. It had an ensuite bathroom with a bath and shower (over bath), A TV and hair dryer was also provided. There was also a balcony, although where this overlooks depends on where you are in t he hotel - we were overlooking a farm.
There are two pools at the Europa Beach, one quieter one and one activity pool, where the entertainment team run...

My impressions of this game when I saw it advertised on the internet was that it looked like a completely different type of game that I'm used to seeing for the DS.
