Dover Leisure Centre

Advantages: You don't need to be a member to use the facilities
Disadvantages: Certain parts may be shut due to private events

Living in Dover means that we don't have too many facilities. Dover Leisure Centre is about the only sporting facility in Dover other than the football and rugby pitches. Location Dover Leisure Centre is located on Townwall Street in Dover which is pretty much on the seafront and within walking distance to the Port of Dover. It is also within walking distance of Dover town, Dover Priory Station and Pencester bus station. Facilities There are two swimming pools at Dover Leisure Centre. There is a main swimming pool which is 25 metres and also a learner / childrens pool. In the main pool, there are two lanes of the swimming pool which are sectioned off to create one slow, and one fast swimming lane. The rest of the pool is then literally just open water where people can swim at their own leisure. The smaller pool is much ...

The village hotel & leisure club in Wirral.

Advantages: Clean and fresh
Disadvantages: Like a rabbit Warren

The village hotel & leisure club in Wirral Have recently joined here and at £32 per month, each, we feel we have a bargain. They even waved the joining fee, normally £70. We joined, my wife and I, on the ?Flexi? promotion. This is where you are only tied in for 3 months as opposed to the ?Full? 12 month tie in. Extras given include £15 to spend in their restaurants, 10% discounts in the bars and coffee shop and 2 free vouchers for friends/family. The vouchers entitle the user to a free week in the gym, pool etc worth £70. If you recommend someone and they join you also get £50 of a nights stay in the hotel. A fair few incentives but to be honest we just want to use the leisure facilities. My wife is recovering from Breast Cancer and she has some back problems resulting from the Radiography. She ...

The Heights Leisure Centre - Isle of WIght

Advantages: great
Disadvantages: none

The Heights Leisure Centre, Sandown, Isle of Wight...... The Heights Leisure Centre is located on the main road leading into Sandown (The Broadway). It is a large building which was opened on the 25th March 1982. The leisure centre has many activities on offer all priced at a fairly reasonable rate. Listed below are the things that The Heights has to offer and a little bit about it. Swimming ... There is both a children's pool and a regular pool both of a good size although neither full size pools as the large pool measures in at 25 meters. The children's pool however it lovely and warm and Jack does love having a splash around there. The pool is open long hours although it is best to check the timetable as there are classes or lane swimming booking up both pools on some days. For an adult swim you are looking to pay £2 ...
