Because from the Museum entrance, if cross Liverpool Road and walk down to the Castlefield Visitors' Centre (call in for information). Walk down the steps and follow the path through the Events Arena. You will then go under four railway viaducts, including two particularly impressive metal structures.
It is from here that a bridge leads to Catalan Square and the junction of the Bridgewater and Rochdale Canals. Cross the bridge by the canal locks to the Dukes '92 pub. From here you can walk up the towpath of the Rochdale canal to the city centre, but this route follows the Bridgewater Canal.

...Barca is situated in Castlefield amongst the picturesque canals surrounded by small bridges and grassy walkways. Barca is Castlefields Prime location for the areas upwardly mobile / yuppie population who dig deep to look good and to drink well.
Barca's main attribute being the lavish interior with no end to leather couches and comfortable seating arrangements, not to mention a top notch bar which sells only bottles and liquers at high prices.
If you want to look good and see the goodlooking then Barca Castlefield is an amazing place to go, home to Manchesters celebs and supermodels you are likely to see true physical beauty here.
