and Country Club, which is the second hotel within portfolio of Dublin hotels and the fifth hotel within the group. The hotel is built to a high 4 star standard and is the third 4 star hotel in our growing collection of 3 and 4 star properties with extensive conference, leisure and golf facilities. This is one of the newest hotels in Dublin and one of the best hotels in Castleknock and will appeal to both locals and visitors alike with its modern and contemporary décor and furnishings.
& Country Club in Castleknock Village, Dublin, has been converted from a country residence of the Irish gentry into a luxury 4-star Dublin country club and golf course. Close to Dublin city center and the airport, yet just outside this quiet village, the hotel strikes the perfect balance between a secluded countryside get-away and a convenient Dublin hotel. Opened as recently as 2005, the Castleknock Hotel & Country Club offers holiday makers or conference goers to Dublin a truly idyllic experience, even perfecting nature where it is found lacking. The landscaped grounds and sculpted 18-hole golf course are a testament to man's ability to improve his habitat, in this case to the advantage of golf lovers. As well as comprehensive sports and health club facilities at the Tonic Club leisure center, the hotel also gives guests the chance to dine in the top-notch Park restaurant and the Brasserie, or mingle in the Lime Tree Bar. The hotel also offers a free wireless Internet access in public areas, not to mention a fully equipped business center with a computer, fax and photocopy machine. The hotel has great potential as a conference venue, thanks to the Dublin Conference Centre, which spans two floors of the hotel and includes function rooms designed specially for every type of event.
Advantages: Great hotels, and facilities Disadvantages: EXPENSIVE!!!
...After another argument with the little lady I was feeling stressed and in need of some TLC. "Right that’s it" I shouted, "We are going away for a night". To which she replied "where?”
She had a point, i am only 21, I can’t drive and i am not rich in any way shape or form. Despite this I really needed a break from reality. The Christmas bonus had just been deposited into my bank account so I thought of the closest 4 star I could think of. "We are going to that big hotel on the Wroxham Road" said I not knowing the name at the time.
So off we went, as we pulled down the seemingly endless drive from the main road I thought gosh this looks different to any hotel I had ever stayed in (i am more used to forte pothouses or similar!!). It was an impressive country manor type building with a beautiful fountain in the front courtyard. I...

...!, a secret garden, long walks & running/biking paths, a golf driving range, and 18 hole golf course!! (not full size - most holes approx 150 - 300 yards)
The grounds are extremely well kept and looked after and provide a tranquillity of the English countryside away from the hustle and bustle of 'real life'.
The hotel also has a countryclub next to it. It has its own separate rooms but is open to guests of the hotel also.
It has its own lounge, which also does lunch, and provides facilities such as pedicures, manicures, indian head massages, massages, table tennis, a swimming pool and gym and clubs for the golf course and range
This is a lovely countryclub and we spent the sunday just relaxing in the lounge, playing golf and my fiancee had a manicure/pedicure which she loved!!!
The is also fantastic wildlife with deer free to roam...

Advantages: Room cleanliness excellent, facilities and dining quite acceptable. Disadvantages: Had a battle with the doors in my room
...This review covers my stay of two nights at Kununurra CountryClub Resort, which is located near Lake Argylle in North West Australia.
I stayed here during a coach tour of the Kimberleys, so I didn't book direct with the resort. It is set in green, well-tended grounds, with lots of palm trees. There is good security with high fences around the resort, but even so, management advises guests to keep doors locked to discourage petty theft.
Reception area
When I arrived at the reception area, porters took my suitcase to my allocated room. Regarding the reception area, the check-in staff seemed friendly and helpful. There was an internet kiosk here (coin-operated). , One point I liked about the foyer was the crocodile design which had been set into the stone-flagged floor. I took a 'snap' shot of the croc (see photo).
My room...

Well we had been invited to out nephew’s wedding in Dorset and I also had to take advantage of my Christmas present from Dave, which was feeding tigers by hand at Paradise Park, Broxbourne. We also decided that we could go to Thorpe Park and Chessington... more
