For your holidays, if you choose Florence in Italy you have a lot of offers, this is one of that which the value for money is quite good. The location is in the historical centre of Florence very close to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Duomo, facing Piazza Indipendenza. The building was done around 1860 during that period Florence was capitol of Italy, the inside of the building had the last renewal in 2002, offering almost all the modern standards. The Hotel Castri is a three stars hotel, with no restaurant, 70 rooms, all with en suite facilities, TVcolor, direct telephone,air conditioning/heating, smoke and fire detector. The best part of the hotel is the garden of 1,000 square meters with a lightfull veranda and also a terrace solarium where han sunbaths during the summer, request a room with garden view you will have a nice view of the Cathedral, and this kind of room is much more quite than the rooms on the street side The breakfast is very large: fresh fruits of season, yoghurts, ham, cheese, cereals, marmelade and honey,croissants and rolls, fruit juices and all the continental breakfast. The breakfast is always included in the rates. A large offer of restaurant can be found nearby the hotel: I suggest "Giardino di Barbano" and " Trattoria La Gratella" GETTING THERE
Whether travelling from north or south by car, we recommend that you take the highway exit on the A1 at "Firenze Nord": follow the signs for the centre and the "viali di circonvallazione" . Continue towards the Fortezza da Basso - Exposition centre and looking for P.zza Indipendenza,we are at number 7. The Amerigo Vespucci airport is 5km from the centre of Florence, a taxi ride to the Hotel Castri takes approximately 15 minutes and costs 15-20 . Otherwise outside of the airport take shuttle bus for the centre about 20 minutes. By train - as you walk out of the central railway station Firenze Santa Maria Novella, take the left exit, McDonald's side on the right side of McDonald's you find via Nazionale, walk in for 5 minutes you will see a square Piazza Indipendenza, we are the first hotel on your right side n.7. A bus stop is just in fornt of the hotel.
Excellent location for the Hotel Castri is for shopping, if you have to buy a souvenir or some genuine leather jacket, or some foods it is just two blocks from the big Market of San Lorenzo. The service offers 24 hours reception and fast check-in and check-out For the Clients there is always complementary coffe and water s available in the bar of the reception. The children are free till two years, sleeping in the same bed of the parents. For the car parking they have an agreement with a garage (Garage Nazionale) safe and guarded which is only at 100 meters, rates between 23 to 33 per day. Valet park service in front of the Hotel Castri included.
